How to Watch TV with Bluetooth Headphones?

Hi: If by receiver you mean TV Box or Cable Box, then you can plug in our Bluetooth Transmitter into that instead of the TV and receive sound that way. If you were talking about an Stereo Receiver or Sound Bar, then you can utilize our receiver's pass-through function to get audio to both the Bluetooth Headphones and your Sound Bar or Stereo Receiver.

How long does a charge last on the headphones? Do I have to keep the headphones charging when not in use?

Hello, it takes about 1.5 hours to charge from 0-100%, and it'll last about 40 hours on full charge. We recommend charging it only when it's low on power. However, please remember to turn the headphones off when not in use :)

I purchased the HT-5009 last year and it worked perfectly with my old tv, which had an open Optical connection. Just purchased a new Samsung tv and a Samsung Soundbar so now the Optical connection is taken. I have watched every video and cannot seem to get the headphones to work with the new tv and soundbar! The new TV doesn't have an Audio-Out label for Auxillary. It has a connection titled "Ex-Link", but that doesn't work either. So do I need to purchase a digital to audio converter? And does that then replace the Oasis box?

If headphones are turned off, will sound still come out of TV or Sound Bar or do settings need to be changed for each? Was thinking of getting this for my Mom so she can listen to TV later at night while others are sleeping but want to use regular for my Dad to hear through TV/Sound Bar during the daytime. Don't really need TV sound and headphone sound at the same time.

If you're using the "bypass" function, yes the audio will still come out of the sound bar even if you turn the headphone/adapter off.

Your receiver probably has an optical input... why don't you try TV - HT5009 optical in - HT5009 optical out - receiver optical in? That way you utilize the unique bypass function of HT5009!

Hello, there are two ways to do it. 1. Use the + and - buttons on the transmitter. 2. Use the volume buttons on your headset. Firmly but gently click them each time, make sure you give it half-a-second in between clicks. Avantree Support

If your TV mutes itself automatically when you plug something into its headphones jack, the only thing you can do is unplugging from the headphones jack when you'd like to use the TV speakers.

Yes, the headphone can be paired to your smartphone, but not at the same time. You'll need to turn off the Bluetooth on your phone in order to switch back onto the TV

Hello, absolutely! Just remember to turn the transmitter off when you're trying to pair the headphones to your Bluetooth TV, also vice versa, please turn the Bluetooth TV off first when you'd like to use the headphone with the transmitter.

I just Hooked them Up and all Works.. However, when I shut Off the TV for the Night and Plug in the Head Set and Go to Bed... The Control Box Starts talking about every 5 or 10 min's.. Why and How do I stop it from Talking when TV is Off.

The features are nice, the passthrough is nice. It's touted as the best Seniors headset because of dialog enhancement, but I'd say 1/10 seniors are gonna wanna plug a micro USB cable into these things when they're done... fine motor skills are not a senior's forte. Put this on a charging dock and it's the best product hands down. No senior with arthritis is gonna be fkin with small ass USB cable all the time. I wanted to buy this product, but I'm gonna buy an inferior Sony just because it has a charging dock cause I know my hard of hearing grandma whose hands shake all the time is not gonna mess with any tiny ass cables.

Hi there! Actually, we have other products that come with a transmitter/charging dock just for this reason! You might be interested in our Ensemble or Opera, which have a lot of the same qualities. Both the Ensemble and Opera are upgraded versions of the HT5009, since this video came out in 2019. I bought this headphones for a family member, is for a Tv on a bedroom, I was able to get it to work, the only problem is, the Tv in my living room, it turn the sound bar too, even if I’m not using the Tv or sound bar, when my brother in law is using the headphones it turns the sound bar on, don’t know how to stop it, what I did is I just unplugged the sound bar.

There could be many reasons for this. Check your transmitter and headphones to see if all LEDs are SOLID. If they are FLASHING, something is wrong. Set the headphones and transmitter up again starting from 0:41 in the video. Make sure to follow all steps properly. Also, don't forget to set your Audio format to "PCM" in the TV's sound settings. From what I've researched, there's no truly wireless setup. The transmitter box still needs a physical connection for all this "wireless" gadget to work and changing settings on TV. Thank you for helping me decide not to bother anymore in getting headphones for my TV.

Hi Marlon, Yes, when your TV does not have built-in Bluetooth, adding an adapter to it is the only choice. Even if the TV does have Bluetooth, most TVs nowadays still do not support low delay hence again adding an adapter is the better choice.

lol WUT. You can be on your bed 20 feet away from a TV wearing headphones with no wire going to the TV. The Transmitter does not require line of sight. You could double sided tape it to the back of your TV if you wanted to. Where are the wires, dude?
