Avantree Oasis Bluetooth Transmitter & Receiver

I've regularly seen people ask about using Bluetooth headphones with a TV or using an old stereo with a smart phone and this device fits the bill for both. Even though it doesn't have AAC (and my iPhone wouldn't transmit to it with APTx) it still output good sound.

Now all I want with this is a good CAR AUDIO system, but I can't find any reviews on such a thing. Where can someone find a decent speaker system for a car? And what choices are there?

You should try the mpow Bluetooth adapters they are amazing brother. The newer versions are insane connect one to your amp and one to your headphones and you are literally enjoying your hifi system via a wireless connection and its cheap as heck. Hope you're doing well brother.

Know this vid's a bit old so this may be a long shot: but I just wanna confirm if I plug my PC into the TX aux and then my PC speakers in the RX aux will the sound from my PC be played out of my speakers while in bypass mode? My PC doesn't have Bluetooth and I want to use Bluetooth headphones for when I record/stream but I also don't want to constantly be switching the aux cords whenever I want sound to play from speakers and not headphones, and vice versa.

Interesting product. as far as I’m aware iPhones do not support aPTX codex. They use the AAC Codex. Quite sure about this because the Sennheiser momentum 2 I wanted to buy did not support the AAC only the one you mentioned.

I was hoping to use one of these to extend the bluetooth broadcast range of my phone. I would like to transmit voice to a set of bluetooth headphones with my phone, but the headphones will need to be more than 10m away from the phone, so I was hoping to use this unit as sort of like a booster station. Can you tell me can your phone connect by bluetooth to this device then this device transmit by bluetooth to a set of headphones?

Unfortunately that wont work. It's only designed to work from wired (digital or analog) to Bluetooth, or Bluetooth to wired.

Doesnt the bypass switch allow this? Like a typical wifi repeater. Just get s signal and push it out again. @@Currawong

does it make a tone or chime every time a bluetooth device connects? i have a couple that are VERY annoying with a loud tone every time a device connects, especially when the output is hifi speakers. SO loud and unavoidable especially late at night with a quiet house!! thanks for this video regardless

It has a voice that speaks through a speaker. At most you can cover the speaker.

That's going to depend on the headphones and how you set it up. Depending on your house, you might be able to go into another room with wireless headphones and not get drop-outs but the usual usage is while watching TV in line-of-sight. If I do more Bluetooth reviews I'll experiment more with how far I can take things before they drop out.

I did, with one FiiO device that has LL. I might try it with the new noise-cancelling headphones from them actually. Seems there are quite a few devices like this available now though.

Hi not a youngster and not very tech savvy. I've just bought one of these and am struggling with the small print on the user guide.I use an nvidia shield and have connected my tv to my non bluetooth soundbar via an optical cable and it works fine. Can you tell me how to use with a pair of bluetooth headphones and also listen to music from my phone. Appreciate any advice you could offer.

Only recently received both items. Have charged the transmitter and currently charging the headphones. TV and sounbar connected by optical toslink cable and would like to listen via headphones as neighbours have a baby. Would also like to listen to music from my phone. Any help would be appreciated. You can daisy chain TV to Oasis to soundbar using optical. then you just put the Oasis in "bypass" mode (switch on the right). When you want to listen with headphones, you put it in Bluetooth mode. If it is set as a transmitter (switch on the left) then it will send the sound from your TV to whatever Bluetooth headphones it is paired with.

As I said I'm not very technically minded but am I right in thinking that I connect one optical cable from out (tv) to in (avantree) and the other out (avantree) to in (soundbar) and then use the bypass switch? Apologies for my ignorance and once again would be grateful for any guidance

Hi there, it can work with 2 bluetooth speakers, but it is recommended for connecting to 2 headphones, due to the CSR chips in the device, some speakers might not work well while connects to the transmitter at the same time.

If using two devices make sure they are WIRED. This unit will not support two wireless earbud sets at the same time. One can watch all day. Try and use both together and it will disconnect randomly after 15 minutes of use. painful and they hide this in their descriptions. Researched and many people report the same.

This is transmit AND receive though. Actually, I'm looking for LDAC transmitters and receivers, but so far, no luck.

@@Currawong just info: the mpow is transmit and receive too so is tao-tronics, they both are around 20 bucks, only to show an alternative, for little money. both run about 5 hours. i use them for over 2 yesrs. always working fine and with a double-scratch tape, you can just put them on your headphones. tiny and simple cheers ps: i like your videos, otherwise i would not put this here....
