10:28 THANK YOU! These boring, lazy levels with no thought made from the player to beat the level ALWAYS end up on the popular page for no reason! This happened last update too, and it was even worse then! These levels try to be cute and add “secrets” too, and they are so bad! This is why I need to stop going to the popular page. Especially with the new trend of “refreshing,” “stress-reducing” garbage dumps of levels. (And I didn’t forget about the random Japanese that is probably half gibberish but idk)

I love this new edition and is easily one of the best smm2 course parts added. The one thing that bothers me even more is that we don’t have boomerang bros. I mean, they took the time to add the mechanics of the power up. How hard is it to do a color pallet swap with the hammer bro and give it those boomerang properties. Also can we just have all of the variants of the bros in all game styles. I really want to use fire bros and the frozen coins in a level together.

Edit: I identified it. It's the intro music for the "Boomerang" Block from Cartoon Network circa mid 2000's. It aired "old" Hanna Barbara cartoons like Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, and Top Cat. The use of something like this is limited to making sure that if you don't have the boomerang you cant progress, so while these are not puzzles, they can be the gate that forces you solve the puzzle of "how do i get the boomerang" .

I think the closest thing we can name them might be technique sections b/c usually the challenge is timing/movement. If you chuck a boomerang in a pipe and hit a few on/offs there's no question what was going to open the path, its just how you have to do it

Your problem with ‘puzzle’ levels is the same with me for most ‘speedrun’ levels.

Lots of the popular speed run levels are meant to make you feel like you're at risk of dying but make it really easy to just hold right and press the right buttons at the right time. They're lame and usually uninspired. Speed runs that make you think fast about what to do, make you do something creative, and have slightly more forgiving timers are usually the better ones imo

I honestly feel the boomerang flower is better for traditional levels than the cat bell simply because it's less prone to causing cheese in levels. I also love it for some fun puzzles involving clear pipes and on off switches.

I noticed something about the boomerang flower. The boomerang flower plays the wrong sound effect when it’s collected. It’s the same sound when collecting a cat bell. Instead it should be the same sound that plays when collecting a fire flower.

I made a underwater light car-zo level utilizing the Boomerang Flower, Cannon Box, and the Koopa Troopa Car. Pretty fun to make... ... Also, those supposed 'puzzle' levels just need to be called themed shooter levels, because they're too mundane and repetitive to be tagged as puzzle levels.

It isn't uploaded yet, but it'll go up on the server with all my other Super World courses once my Super World series is done being clear checked. ... You can check out some other levels on my profile (some are kinda garbage, be warned) while I'm crafting my Super World. Some are easy, some are hard, some are actually traditional. Some people really liked my SMW airship level for some reason or another. ... I should try making another underwater car-zo outside of my Super World, the process is really interesting. Early Access? The more practice the better.
