How to use the DMC AF8

The DMC AF8 has virtually limitless application within the specified wire range of 12 through 26 AWG. Numerous turret heads are available to adapt the tool frame to your specific military or proprietary contact/wire combination. The 8 impression crimp assures absolute maximum tensile strength with almost every closed barrel contact. Special indent configurations and gaging are available upon request.
Its precision ratchet controls cycling of the tool in both directions of handle movement. This assures the same accurate crimp every time. It's like having a quality control inspector at every work station.

Hi, it's very a good tools, but i have a question... if i make an error about setup size and wire, how i can remove the wire?

Hi gianrpx...thank you for you question and sorry for the late reply. I am not quite sure what you mean. How can you remove the wire from the newly crimped contact? The only way to remove the contact from the wire is to cut the wire at the back of the terminal you just crimped. Please feel free to contact us at [e-mail] if you need more information. Hi, will a female size 18 contact work with this? It seems to just go straight through without stopping on the blue setting for me.

Hi dang pham...sorry for the late reply. The blue setting should work fine for the size 16 female contact. (accepts 14-18 AWG) The contact may be falling through since it is too small. Maybe try the red setting?

Hate to be that guy but the spacing on that crimp is too much, should be flush or no more than 1/8" (fingernail thickness) from the end of the pin.

Supposed to be half way along the shank, between the ring and the rear of the pin, shouldn’t it? My AF8 crimps right where it does in this video and these things have supposed to have helped NASA put man on Mars! Right?
