I have one and it's lovely. Graet desing, easy to clean and remember not to grind your coffee too fine or the water will stop getting through coffee bed and the water will stop blocking it even more.

hi guys, can the lid of the water container be used to cover the coffee for when you put it in the fridge?
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam, Thanks for your question. No it cannot - but there is a specific Lid available that fully sealable you can find here 👉 alternativebrewing.com.au/product/dripster-carafe-lid/

Hi, can I put hot water in instead of ice or cold water?
@AlternativeBrewing Жыл бұрын
yea you could - though it'll drip a little faster than cold water will.

Thanks for this. I note paper filter sides are smooth on one side and rough on the other. Is there a better side to have facing up? Cheers

I got one of these for Christmas, tried my first batch a couple of days ago. I just used pre ground espresso coffee to get me started. What is the best type of grounds? I heard dark roast? Should I be looking at getting a hand or electronic grinder?
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
Very nice! I would highly recommend an electric grinder - given the fact it'll be more effort with a hand grinder.

G'day team, I'm having trouble with mine. I've had it for at least three years (love it) but recently the water won't filter through the coffee and it ends up making a mess or I have a heap of ground coffee in my cup (plus it tastes terrible). I grind my own beans and I thought that the grind might be too fine but I haven't changed the grinder settings since forever. I've just changed the courseness of the grind but it is still not filtering correctly. Any advice? Thank you

Yes, give the metal screen a soak in some hot water from the tap first - for about 10 mins - then gently pour some boiling water through the scene - this should help remove any sediment that could possibly be stopping the flow. Let us know how you go!

Does cold drip contains more caffeine than expresso? how to adjust the strength? is that even possible?
@Leonardo-fm7fj7 ай бұрын
Yes it does. You may add filtered or.purified water to your coffee to lower the caffeine percentage.

Hey Awsome video, just received this dripster, i am using you recipe, But how much caffein Will extract in to bottle below? :-)
@AlternativeBrewing3 жыл бұрын
a good amount, depending on the amount of ground coffee you use and how slow it'll drip - I do find the slower you go the stringer the coffee is... When it is strong - you only need around a third of a cup diluted for it to be a good flavour and caffeine hit - whereas if it's a little weaker then you want to use around half a cup - maybe more for the same kick. Try an espresso roasted coffee and brew nice and slow for the best results for a coffee kick!

Is there a certain amount of coffee to add with milk? Eg. 1 part coffee 3 parts milk? I do prefer white cold cold brew. :-)
@AlternativeBrewing3 жыл бұрын
This really depends on the strength that you prefer it.. But I would naturally go for a 3:1 coffee to Milk... or a 1:1. Drip coffee is not as strong as Cold Brew where you've steeped it for 24hrs so be careful not to dilute it too much.
