When I reviewed the BabyHawk R Pro one of my complaints was the VTX. At 200mw it was OK, but not great. Well it turns out I was actually only at 25mw the whole time. It was very impressive for 25mw but in this video I show you how to unlock it so you can get 200mw and I also show how to set the Band, Channel, and Power.

Thanks for sharing this video. At this moment, I'm about to review this quad on my channel. This, and your previous video has help me tremendously! In your previous video (where you had to update the firmware) your bootloader connected automatically (after the un-plug & re-plug series), but mine did not. I eventually found it, but, If by chance you make another video on this bird, I suggest you insert a quick illustration of "where is the bootloader button?" I inquired in the comments on that video, but you didn't reply and boy... did I spend hours & hours of research trying to find it!!! After the firmware update and the factory provided CLI dump, this quad has quickly become one of my favorite micro racers and flies great (for me) on the factory set PIDs & settings. With your permission, I'll link your videos in my upcoming review so I don't have too "re-invent the wheel," lol. Thanks for your comprehensive reviews on this product and the work you did!!! -djsoulforce!!!

Glad to help. And glad your’s worked out well. I need to go in and look at the pids again and see if something copied wrong on mine. It should be pretty straightforward but mine just didn’t go well. Sorry about the reply. I did see it and then forgot about it before I could go back and post a link to my video on how to fix that issue.

BTW, should you ever decide to make some of those "smoke stoppers" and perhaps sell them on Ebay (or something like that) I would love to review it, help promote it and I'd highly recommend the product to my viewers. (who wouldn't want a third hand?) I'm too lazy (or not skilled enough) to make one for myself and I'm sure there are many others like me... "something to think about...hummm!" Thanks buddy!!!

Man I know this is a old video but it help me so much with my new BabyHawk R4. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get more then 30ft away without my FPV totally dropping out. Next day Update wow even after learning the menu and setting the drone up correctly anything more than 30ft out the drone has no FPV and I have to hit the kill switch. I think I need to return the drone while it's still new

Toothpick is good, I recently popped the bind button off of a CRSF Rx by being too lazy to reach for an appropriate tool. (Note - you can jump the stubs with a screwdriver blade and get it to bind, thus saving 35 bucks) Thoughts on linear antennas - I just put a Bandicoot on in place of the VAS crosshair I usually have on, and leave the RHCP omni alone. Seems to work well on all my little quads and whoops.

Have you seen that there's a few pid options on the stock tune? Profile 1-3 each have different pids. Pretty sure I chose Profile 2 and it flies MINT on that tune.

Hello 👋. I’m having issues with my BHR pro vtx. It seems like the video pulses in and out. On every channel. Have you ever experienced anything like this and is there anything I can do?

You could. But i think you only really need to get to it once if you need it unlocked. Then used the osd.

Antennas matter, loss of signal reception is NOT what we want or need.

Agreed. They do. But it depends on what you need. If you only get to use the 25mw option and need to fly 200m then the “right” antenna are going to be needed. At 50m at 200mw in the open it isn’t worth the inconvenience of switching them.

This is a common issue that manuals are so small and written with small fonts. :( I think every drone should have link to web manual. Some companies and selling sites have that, some not. :(

At those small manuals I sometimes copy them at 200%++. Or up to the magnification where fonts are still good clear. I got once manual with 2mm fonts. Uhhh...

No, not if you are flying. What I meant was I wouldn’t leave it on the bench that way for a long time.
