Just got a OP1, love your videos. When I follow along using the AWA Beef Drum for instance, when I apply the LFO as you do, I get some cutting out / clipping of the samples. Sure there is something obvious I am missing, are you using a drum synth here?
@BradTennant4 жыл бұрын
It’s been a little while since I made the tutorial so I’m not positive what the settings were. But certain settings on things like the Value LFO do cause some clipping as the “value” that can be adjusted can be volume, sample in/out points, or basically any other thing you can do when adjusting samples on the drum waveform page (assuming the LFO is set to adjust the drum synth and not FX or ADSR). You may want to check if you have any Master FX turned and check your Drive settings.

Is there a way to sustain with the Endless Sequencer? I can get repeats but I’m looking for longer chords. Hold and step instead of retapping each chord?
@BradTennant3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, just hold down your chord while holding shift and tap out how long you want it to be. Alternatively, you could add a long tail/release to your synth ADSR, but that might get muddy depending on what you're going for.

can someone tell me which headphones are the best for the OP-1? My current headphones are slightly too quiet, the other ones are not delivering enough bass..... So what do I have to look out for when choosing some new headphones?
@BradTennant4 жыл бұрын
I've found that headphones have such a personal preference baked in. However, with that said, I've found that my Audio-Technica ATH-M50X work pretty well. I scored mine refurbished and saved about $50 if I remember right. They're comfy and have some pretty good bass. Before I got those I was using some Sony MDRV6 which were a little cheaper and also sounded pretty good but didn't have quite as much bass.
@MrJackal434 жыл бұрын
Buy an audio interface. That way you can control the level to your headphone monitor and do other cool things as well. Focusrite makes a good entry level one called the Scarlett 212, comes with nice condenser mic, interface cables and the interface itself. Which allows you to record instrument line or vocal mic to your Op-1, computer, iPad etc...

@@BradTennant came here for the tutorial, didn't find much of a tutorial so I provided feedback. That wasn't meant to waste your time; your response wasted your time.
@BradTennant2 жыл бұрын
Feedback is helpful. But I personally disagree that you gave me that. What you did provide was a fact masked as a criticism and a personal opinion. No suggestions on how to improve. And regardless of the semantics, you do know that just because I only used 2 notes that you could actually use more. You even have the option to use fewer notes. If you need a tutorial on how to make the jump from 2 notes to 3, then I guess you’ll just have to click on to the next one. Poor planning on my part I guess. I do sincerely hope you can find the knowledge I lack. Best wishes.

@@BradTennant thanks for the gracious and more informative response. My original comment should have explained that my disappointment was that I felt the video was not really a tutorial as the title claimed, but more you talking about things on a video while minimally covering the titled topic. For the rando that drops into your channel via a search it didn't work for me. No biggie, just thought I'd leave feedback.
