Great new videos..I'd like to see a better tilting table that went further past / deeper into the platen , to be used as the bevel grinding jig it self ,the work rest table as in tilt the platen back a whatever angle then tilt the table at a 45°/ 60° and move it all the way in..the table is the bevel jig for both platen and large contact wheel for "free hand grinding "..Thank you for the informative videos recently..

@@AmeriBradeOfficial appreciate that response although a bit late as I waited a few months and decided to go with a HouseMade belt grinder as they did have the attachment I was looking for..although I probably should have gone with Ameribrade grinder as the HM belt grinder needed so much correction to the parts to before even beginning the assembly work.. missing holes, crooked cuts etc just a complete mess that required sorting out..bought a flat glass platen from them that was 0.25mm out of flatteness..it literally rocked like a rocking horse on the surface plate..perhaps next time..Thanks so much..

How many pounds of pressure are applied at the wheel by the tensioner. I am sure it varies, but can you at least provide a ball park number for belts with . . . stiff/heavy weight backing ?? - Light weight backing ?? & Scotch-Brite type surface conditioning belts ??

Just so I don't set you up for a trap if you are desgning your own, I should clarify that the force applied by the wheel is not equal to the tension in the belt. Each of those two things plays its own role in belt tracking. In our case, the springs are applying roughly 35 pounds of force up on the belt and depending on which attachment is installed and what angle the belt is creating around the tension wheel, that ends up being about 20 lbs of tension within the belt.
