Hi, it seems the auto links are not refreshed when publishing a new post with the word of the auto link installed. What to do?

How much time passed from setting up the auto link and adding the new post? Are you using any cache plugins? If so, try clearing it, please.

@@LinkWhisper does it insert the auto-links in new posts as they're published or on a cron job like once a day or something else? What if we do use a cache plugin, will it automatically check after we clear the cache?

@@mountaintopper Link Whisper inserts autolinks when the rule is first created to find all the possible places to insert the link at the beginning. Afterwards, the autolinks are added when posts are published or updated. We do it this way so we're only running the process when a content change takes place. This also helps us avoid caching issues since most caches clear when a post is updated. So when the autolinking runs, we're automatically using the most up to date version of the content.

Hi, thank you for this video. I have the task of adding internal links to over 70 existing articles. Do you think link whisper would be useful for this? The articles are about the climbing experience of various mountains, so I don't think set anchor text would work, since the linking needs to be contextual to the actual information in the article about each mountain. For example a link would be added to anchor text saying " If you prefer more challenging terrain check out x mountain". The link needs to lead to an article about a mountain that actually has more challenging terrain . Is there any way around doing this manually? Thanks in advance.

How to reset the links already created wrongly? What does the 'refresh auto link report' mean?

@CoachSharm - you must delete the rule and start over to reset. The 'refresh autolink report' crawls the site looking for autolinks to list in the report table, so it doesn't create or remove any links.
