Ok but what is the blue line on the Mac D and what is the tan line? Is the blue line the EMA or a representative of the lines on the chart and the tan line the actual Mac D line???

How do I set up a scan that shows when the MACD line crosses the zero line? I'm only looking for periods when the line crosses zero. If the line goes above the zero line, this indicates a buy alert, and when the MACD line crosses below the zero line, it's a sell alert.

I've set up the scanner to have both positive to negative and negative to positive. What should I be looking for to see which stock to buy/sell? I removed the negative to positive and I see that the list is shorter, but I can't figure out the difference.
