How To Use the New Seadoo IDF Feature in 2021 (Will it break your ski?)

Hey There everyone! Today I will Show you how to use the Seadoo IDF Feature. I have been asked to do this short how to on the 2021 Seadoo Fish Pro. I own the Green and Gold Fish Pro. Let's see if this will break my seadoo. The IDF feature is next technology, it allows you to clear debris from your jetski without having to jump in the water. Which for me was a plus when I chose the Seadoo Fish Pro. But will it break my ski?

That’s no good brother. I remember you telling me you were taking it in for the second time! Are they giving you anything from seadoo for this repeated issue? Comps or something?! I can only imagine your frustration. My patience would be gone. I’m sorry to hear this !

@@DadKnowledge4All seadoo gave me a full refund for the ski I'm stuck with a trailer I'll watch the reviews this summer and try again and order a new one for next winter my winter in Florida was ruined making phone calls and all the stuff I had to go threw bit I live on the lake in maine and got boat and dirt bikes to use there enjoy yours

Hey thanks for the video. I finally got my sea doo back last week. She stopped in the middle of lake at my fist trial with my wife and my daughter. It took 3 month to get back and I will try again soon. Really wish no issues this time.

I have the limited. Mine broke down in the middle of the lake. They had it in the shop for 27days waiting on IDF parts . Your lucky no problems yet I had 1.0 hour on the unit

You can outfit the GTX 170 like the Fish Pro.....minus the extended platform and the dreaded IDF. I plan on going with that. I've heard/read (KZbin, Reddit) too many negatives about the IDF. I have no confidence in SeaDoo's new technology. Good luck with your Fish Pro. I hope you will be one of the lucky ones who have had no IDF-related problems with their SeaDoo.

True and the seating . The gtx has separated seating which when trying to slide back to the cooler or turn around can be uncomfortable. I’ve seen the forums too. It looks like the blue ones have the all the issues I haven’t seen a green one have the issue. It’s a shame still.

I think Seadoo is going to get hit with legal action over the IDF. Just seems like it’s happening to a lot of people. And why are dealers offering to buy the fish pro back? Hmmmm.

I’ve seen two instances of them buying them back although I don’t know the process I’m sure it’s a lot of yelling and legal threats in my opinion

What gets me is that you usually pick up junk when you are in shallow water so you cant engage it till youre in three feet. You may have to paddle some maybe?

That is a great Point! Yes you would have to paddle some or walk the ski out to at least 3 feet. Didn't think about it that way!

You got lucky. 15% failure rate within the first hour of use. Better than 1 in ten rolling out the factory die. Why should I have to ask my dealer to check the IDF oil pressure when that should be done at the factory and/or dealer? With Seadoo its buyer beware.

I have a 2021 Blue with 29 hrs on it. I've used the IDF a hand full of times without a problem. Knock on wood. Last weekend we did 70 miles round trip from San Diego to Mexico and back. The stories are scary for sure. I've read there is a serial number set/manufacture date where the defective skis seem to fall in. I can't seem to find the actual date and where to find the information on the ski. Any information would definitely put the mind to ease.

HEY man quick question. when you used the IDF were you actually blocked ? if so do you know what from ? weeds bags etc ? do u feel like without it you would of had to get into the water without it ?

@@jtspiky weeds. You can tell something isn’t right , excessive vibration and loss of power like acceleration. Without this I would definitely would have to jump in the water to clear this out. Life saver

The biggest issues Ive had is sucking up tiny sticks. I'm not sure this would fix that sadly.

It’s pretty powerful. Now I have ran it a couple of times to fully clear it but I think rocks would be the one thing to stop it all.

My man tells us to be confident with the IDF while he is tied to the dock performing his IDF. Lol. Great video though.
