I thought the puribag already made bad water into drinkable water? So you need another filter to actually make it drinkable?

It's basically for peace of mind. You can just use the tube and filter as a straw if you don't have a bag. Remember this is purely as a last resort for survival if you can't boil it. It's safe to drink, but you'll only have so many purifier packets to use.
