I’ve always had an sp, mostly used it as an effects processor and drum machine for live post-punk stuff, You have now turned me onto the sequencer and I’m making full on alien shit now. 🙏🏻

Great video and explanation! Don´t have the SP404 myself, but have been eyeballing it a few years. Inspiring to watch the process regardless, and you gave me some good insight in how the device works. Nice vibe in the samples and the chops!

Great rundown of how to use the sequencer. Despite all of the hate it gets, it’s actually not a bad sequencer, and gives you more flexibility over your productions than the resample method does. Could you make a video showing how you track your beat out to a daw, and finish it?
@Senshobeats3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it does get a lot of hate. I think people find it clunky but I do agree with you. Great idea!

@@Senshobeats After you add the Vinyl Sim effect to the pads in the sequence, do you resample them so the effect is permanently on them? How do you make the effect stick?
@Senshobeats3 жыл бұрын
Yep, if you want it to be permanent, the best way is to resample with the effect on

Nice vibes! I got a question, is there a way to "mute"/"unmute" pads while playing them in a pattern? Basically, I'd like to apply changings on the fly in a pattern while it's going... E.g. adding/removing the snare pad, or the hi hat. Or making different patterns is the only way? thanks!
@Senshobeats2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate you! I don't know of a way you can do that, I always just copy the patterns, make variations and then trigger them in different orders

What was that move with the SUB PAD button around @9:45?
@Senshobeats3 жыл бұрын
I'm just using it to get the swing on the kicks. So the first kick gets copied onto Sub Pad and then I can get a tighter swing using both of them with two hands

Will this work with recording? I’m trying to find away to record songs with instruments using the sp404sx and it would be nice to be able to hear what I’m playing to while recording. Any ideas?
