The timeline in Kapwing Studio allows you to adjust when elements appear on the screen which is useful if you want some elements to appear for only part of the video. It works like the timelines in other video editors like iMovie or Adobe Premiere, but has a simpler design for faster editing. In this tutorial, we’ll orient you to the timeline, how it works, and go through a few examples.
Some main points:
• Each scene has its own timeline
• Each layer in the timeline is connected to its layer on the screen
• Drag the ends of layers in the timeline to change when they appear on the screen
• You can make finer adjustments by selecting a layer and using the left and right arrow keys to shorten or lengthen how long the layer is on screen

Hey, there, Miss Grace! How do I shift multiple layers on the timeline? I've found this --- "If you don't need to select all of your layers at once, but you do need to move or edit more than one layer at a time, you can click one layer, then hold down the ⌘/ctrl button while clicking to select other layers in the timeline." --- but I can't seem to do it. I'm trying to replace the primary video (which is longer) - and I need to shift all the layers to match.

*Does Kapwing support this for two videos? I have my main video and then a short animation video I want to layer on top of the main video, only for a few seconds. Can you make a way where we can slow down and speed videos up from the timeline. I honestly think we should be able to do more from the timeline because other editors I used were based on timeline and Im not used to the we can only use the timeline to trim and rearrange videos. I wanted to use kapwing because of its 720p no watermark feature and it has a few more abilites than clipchamp has but that one thing makes it hard for me to keep videos on precision

You can group items so they are "attached". Click on both items (with command or device equivalent) and on the right hand panel there should be an option to group.

You click on scene then when you find the scene you want to change the duration you just click edit duration then out how long you want it to be

@@Zveistras I solved my "lssue" which was just me being dumb. All I had to do was put the pictures/texts on the same layer as videoclip and adjust their timing from the timeline tab.

you should... If you made over 250 MB of data or made 3 hours of content a month you have to delete some projects.

If you want to make cuts within a clip, in the main project area click "Trim" on the right side while the clip is selected, then "Add Cut". The timeline doesn't support making cuts within clips right now, but we're working on adding that!

@@Kapwing but you do not clarify that in your video I had to figure it out on my own. the issue is You must 'hit' upload in the top left within the same scene to do this. I ask you to do a specific video for your audience explaining this, you glossed over it.
