🥤My FAVORITE water bottle for labor amzn.to/2NntIhR 🥤

This video was incredibly helpful. Now me and my wife to decided that it is better to pay a bit extra and to have a room in the birth center with a bath tub. Knowing how to use the tools available really makes all the difference. Our goal is a completely natural first birth and a positive birth experience, and we've been a bit overwhelmed at first trying to figure everything out, but videos like yours and the Cajun Stork have really empowered us in a huge way. Thank you from both of us (and our daughter to be, inshallah)!

Thank you for your kind note! I wish you and your wife so much success in the journey to bring your daughter into the world in a positive way. I know she will love using the tub!

Laboring in water can be so helpful! I haven't tried a shower in past births ans I plan to this time!

Doing my homework! I've always loved hydrotherapy, but don't know much about water-birth. If i'm enjoying benefits of the bath during active labor, can I go ahead and stay in through transition and birth?

Super video! Beside all the pros of laboring in the tub, I am concerned about one con: you have to get out of the tub every time you need to pee. Can this ‘traffic in and out’ be avoided in any way (apart from the obvious, peeing in the tub, that is not really tempting 🙃)? Thanks in advance

Good question Judit! It might seem like a lot of in and out, but the relief of being in the tub greatly outweighs the in and out annoyance.

When is a good time to get out of the tub in active labor? If you are not planning on having a water birth. Any suggestions would help. Thank you

Great question! I would say when you feel a strong urge to push it’s probably time to get out.

Really wishing we hadn't gotten rid of our tub after hearing all this! Specifically for early labor, birth tub for the end

Glad you have the birth tub. 😀

This may be a weird question, but if you're in the tub when your water breaks is there a chance you won't know it has broken? It's important to head to the hospital after water breaks correct ? Not emergency. But time to go. Is it safe to be in the water once water has broken? Sorry lots of questions at once. This will be my 3rd, but it has been 10 years since my last and I always went to the hospital too early, they always suggested breaking my water themselves... I'll be doing so much so different this time. Lol

Sorry, you answered about after water broke in another comment.

Great questions! If you water breaks in the tub you will probably notice that it will become cloudy and many people feel a popping sensation. You should call your care provider if your water breaks and might need to head into the hospital if it is brown-ish or smells bad. Yes, you can get into the water once your water is broken.

Is it safe to use the tub in active labour if your water broke? What about heat pads?
@birthtoolbox4 жыл бұрын
Yes! The tub is great for active labor. Heat pads are great at that time too!

you can have wine during labor??

Some midwives will suggest it. Check with your care provider.
