Is it recommended to push it all the way onto the mic, or to leave a little air gap (like 1cm) at the tip (instead of touching the mic tip)?

Which size fits the Rode Video Micro II please?

Hey, thanks for showing an interest in The Windkiller! We don't currently have a size for the RØDE Video Micro II just yet, but you can use our Piece-A-Fur and a needle and thread to make some custom wind protection if you fancy a bit of D.I.Y. Keep an eye out for something for the RØDE Video Micro II in the future!

@@bubblebeeindustries I thank you for your reply. I thought that maybe the XS version would fit as the RØDE Video Micro II tube has an O.D. of 21.6mm and a length of 55.8mm to the mount. However there are another set of side-holes 4mm from the suggested mount markers. Not sure if these would be covered by the rubber mount at the end of the XS Windkiller. Could you confirm please?

@@mikofoxphotography410 Hi there, the actual microphone itself will fit in an XS Windkiller for sure, but the reason we don't recommend it is because of the suspension used on the RØDE Video Micro II. We fear it may make the microphone too top-heavy and could cause strain on the suspension. You may find it useful to contact one of your local dealers and arrange a demo unit to check if this solution works for you. @@bubblebeeindustries Thanks! The original fur windscreen that comes with it weighs 15 grams, if that helps. I don't know about the XS's weight, but assume it would not be much heavier. I'm going to order a XS and give it a try as I think the fur you use is much better.
