Have been using the Wireframe modifier in a very basic way for a few months now This tutorial has definitely helped to improve how I use it.......thanks very much. I`ve had Blender idling on various computers for quite a few years now but its your tutorials that have gotten me to make full use of it at last!

Just got to take the time and sit down and practice! (I know that sounds easier than it is in real life ;p )

Nice modifier, THX. I see that the cross-section of the resulting beams of the mesh is diamond-shaped. Orthogonal cross sections are not supported. To get the latter for windows, for example, you would have to make subdivide face and inset from each subface and extrude inwards. Is there a simpler method similar to wireframe?

Also looks like a quick way to create inset paneling for models like sci-fi capital ships. Nice tutorial! Thanks, Justin.

I could see wireframe + subdivision being used for some gross horrory stuff. Just what I need. Great vid!

I like to create geomentry to shape my quads into creative four sided shapes. I can diffenantly use Blender 3.0 to my advantage to create some the most photorealistic 3D models, animations, and visual effects. This makes it easier to understand than Autodesk Maya. Thank you for helping keeping my high-functioning autism brain foucsed on going creative 3D Models in Blender.

When I wireframe a cube it only gives faces on the edges it has no depth even if I increase the width only gets longer till it closes in not wider?

Good job and thats fine and all but how do i get the maximum draw type like in the earlier versions? I just need to simplify a scene without having to reassign materials.

Does anyone know how to generate this wireframe throughout the interior of a model? To create 'cells' throughout a model.

Has anyone experienced applying the wireframe modifier and the mesh flattening? It does not seem to retain the volume upon applying the modifier :(

That intro is cringe
@bobwilson76843 жыл бұрын
I am finding this modyfier very poorly developed, the essence of it should be adding colour individualy to vertex and segments, not good for motion grafics, pure make up this one.
@bobwilson76843 жыл бұрын
ah, also, that the modyfier is only visible in object mode....???...finding many issues with jumps form edit to object mode in general with blender. very poor modyfier ://
@TheCGEssentials3 жыл бұрын
I think you might need to read up on how modifiers work. You're supposed to see the base geometry in edit mode so you can change it...
