How to use TIMELAPSE on ClipStudio Paint!!

I've always used OBS to record my paintings but my personal big struggle was converting it into a timelapse as I didn't find any program to use that wouldn't reduce the quality. Also having a huge video of several hours takes a loooooot of time to load and stuff so yeah, very excited about finding out about this!

Hey, thanks for this video tutorial! I have one question: is it possible to record a full timelapse in several sessions, e.g., in one session you draw the lines, then turn off your computer and then turn it on again and do the rest in another session?

I read from the CSP site that it *will* record over multiple sessions and export into one video file, since this recording is saved within the .clip file itself. You may want to test it out tho

You have to update Clip studio Paint to have it.

you can go to the csp website to update ur version! idk if csp automatically updates so you have to do it yourself lol.

Does the timelapse continue after you save and leave. Like if you come back in to clip and continue will the timelapse still be on?

yes!!! you can also double check by just hovering over the "timelapse" option. if theres a check mark next to the "record timelapse" option that means its still recording!

your timelapse might be corrupted. have you tried exporting the timelapse again?

is this a tablet version? my pc version has a completely different looking interface ( I bought and installed it when it was still called manga studio and a physical disk but it updated to clip studio automatically years ago and I don't have to pay the subscription fee) and I don't have any time lapse. if its just a recent update idk if i wanna update it and have it mess with the layout /:

This is such a good tutorial but I did have a question, I tend to have multiple canvases open and switch between them for example having on canvas open with a color pallete. With the timeline tool, will it only record the one canvas that you start it on. I'd assume so but I wanted to double check haha

It'll only record the canvas that you set up Timelapse on. If you want it to record both you're going to have to turn it on on both haha. I've never tried having multiple canvases open and running timelapse at the same time so idk if there would be any lagging haha
