Keeping a training diary to schedule workouts, record your cycling data, and plan next steps based on your progress will help you understand what your fitness level is, spot trends in how your body reacts to training, how much high intensity training vs endurance cycling you've been doing, and what you need to do to reach the next level as an athlete.
Creating and following a training plan, tracking your cycling workouts and knowing how to analyze your cycling data is the best way to avoid overtraining and undertraining. Training Peaks is a next-level training diary that makes all of this easy and fun for you and for your coach. So it can be used both outdoor and indoor on cycling trainer right? I've tried TrainingDay app for one month (indoor) but not really satisfied with amount of data it provides.
