Get a machanic to check- 1) abs sensor cable - broken wires on the inside 2) faulty abs sensor 3) cable connection / connector is lose

Can you scan the by just pressing the DTC directly instead of going through the options? Or should I say, what is the DTC button for?

The DTC button is a short cut button to connect to the ECU and read the fault codes. The options lets the user to read and look up the code meanings and to erase the codes.

I purchased one of these the other day, its good for reading and finding codes but that seems to be its limit. What is the point in having all these features on the device if most are N/A. Surley you would need these test results.

Hi... you can clear the error codes as well. The software to read and connect is stored internal memory. There are many make, models and year. The software for each of this is different. Some of the make, models or the year is not supported for a small device. The cost of a scanner that can read all sorts of make, models and year is higher because of the bigger internal memory that stores all the needed software. You can try the scanner that uses bluetooth and connects to your phone. Download the app from playstore which can read most of the cars. Please subscribe to my channel so you wont miss new uploads. Hi.... It means that the scanner you got does not have the software to read and connect to your car ECU. There are many car models, make and year, some of the ECU software might not be the same. Not all the scanner can scan it because the limited space in the scanner to store all the software. The cheaper scanner like the one you bought has small internal memory, The more expensive scanner got bigger internal memory that able to store all the software.

But does it actually handle EOBD as well as OBDII...altho it says EOBD on the box and item, the manual only discusses the USA OBDII standard.

Yes it can. EOBD is the European equivalent of the American OBD II standard, which applies to petrol cars sold in Europe from 2001.

Thanks for the video! Mine won't clear codes for some reason. I can scan and find codes, but when I try to clear, it says clear failure and to turn on with the engine off. When I try to do that it says that no codes are stored. It is a P2200 code related to n0x circuit bank 1. I might be doing something wrong, but I have literally tried for hours. If you see this is there any chance you have an idea of whats going on? Thanks and nice holidays to you!

The ECU might be preventing you to clear the codes until you get the parts change or problem rectified

It can check the faults of the ABS and reset the fault code after you have clean the connector of the cables, repaired or change the parts. Some times its not the part or parts that is faulty, Before you change any parts do check that the cable connection is not lose or dirty. Check the cable is it working properly or not. When the connector is lose or dirt the ECU can't get any signal from the ABS sensor it will show up as faulty part. You will be weasting money If you change the sensor right away without checkiing the cable, after a few days the check engine light will turn back on becuase its not the proble of the sensor but the connector or coneection or the cable itself is giving the problem.

Video already shows how to use the reader. You just plug in the obd port and turn on the ignition to read error codes or start the engine to get live reading. If you dont understand engine faults codes best to get ur mechanic to have a look.

Plug in the scanner first BEFORE turn on the ignition and start the car Unplug the scanner AFTER you have off the ignition because pluging and unpluging the scanner with the ignition on might cause a short circiut on the ecu.

yes it can reset the air bag code. best to check what is wrong with the air bag before erasing the code, because it will come back after you reset it. Its either the u got a faulty air bag, faulty air bag sensor or the sensor cable is lose or the cable wiring is faulty.

Yes it can reset ABS error codes. Do the necessary repairs first before you reset the codes. The error code is caused by the following, Do check for:- 1) the sensor is defective 2) ABS unit is defective 3) cable defective 4) lose cable connection
