Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to write a comment I appreciate that so much. I don’t know if you saw my other video where I blow dry my hair, but I actually have naturally curly hair that I first blow dry and then after I blow dry it I do the Velcro’s on the curling iron. The blow dry alone takes me about 45 minutes so it is quite the process! I will definitely do more videos soon.:)

I have such a problem with my hair getting caught in the roller that I cover each roller in a tissue. The results are very similar, but there is definitely less tension I am able to create. I will try your method and hopefully not break my hair. Your hair is much thicker than mine and probably much stronger but the idea of more tension for a bit more curl is definitely nice. PS I like the music.

how are you not ripping your hair? maybe I just can't use these rolers because my hair is too fine but the second i've finished rolling them, the only way to get them out is to riiip.
@MeganGraham3 жыл бұрын
That's a great point. I have very strong medium textured hair, and it would never break pulling them out. Even at work I have never seen someones hair break from taking out a roller, but that also means putting them in correctly. If they are not applied with a great deal of tension, they could tangle and rip out the hair on the way out. That said, you know your hair better than I do, and I would definitely not use them if you feel that they may cause damage to your hair. Nothing is worth that!:)

How can you say it’s “not damaging to your hair” if you’re using a blowdryer?

In comparison to what you could use, such as a curling iron, wand or flat iron. My hair stays in perfect condition because I blow dry and style it properly and use the right tools. Happy Holidays:)

Although I have been using Velcro rollers for many years, I still like to watch how others use them because I am always open to learning new methods. My hair is curly, so I use the Velcro rollers when it is damp to help smooth it out and straighten it by keeping tension. I use the large ones for longer pieces, and shorter ones around the front, and make sure to always measure the amount of hair to fit the width of the roller. You are the only one I have ever watched who takes out the rollers correctly. All the other videos I have seen, the women just rip out their hair or twist it, causing a lot of breakage and tangles. I like the way you put tension in the hair while rolling it and keep your ends smooth. Very nice job! Your voice is also pleasant and you explain all your steps in detail. Your hair turned out beautiful!👍🏻
@brandy_lish3 жыл бұрын
my hair is thin, medium length an i tried velcro rollers an i kept ripping my hair out! so of course the curl was ruined! i have large size(yours look jumbo) some came out easy an some difficult , what am i doing wrong??
@MeganGraham3 жыл бұрын
Make sure you put the rollers in with excellent tension, and only enough hair so it is very neat on the roller. When pulling the roller out, it is important not to back track and add any slack to the hair (I have seen clients try to do this and it created tangles and pulls the hair). Is your hair in good condition? If it were to be very damaged and porous, it would be possible that getting your hair off the roller would be very difficult.
@brandy_lish3 жыл бұрын
@@MeganGraham thank you soo much for this! No my hair is pretty healthy, ive always taken care of it, it’s just thin, i have a nice amount of hair, though, like i said, some of the rollers would come out easier , i think bc some i would put in better an maybe put too much hair on others! i just ordered a hair bonnet dryer thing, so i’m hoping this we’ll help the curl to hold.. is there anything you can RECOMMEND to put on my hair either before, that will help hold the curl better?? i don’t really like hairspray , i jyst. don’t like the way my hair feels with it, unless you no something that’s good! tia
@MeganGraham3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I think you have to use hairspray to have the style last. I usually buy a cheap, pump drugstore version with medium hold (less crispy!) and find I can tolerate the hairspray.
