Board Certified cosmentologist here!! Just letting you guys know if you want a more volume, tight curl at the roots you need to change where the hair is angled and rolling from. So pieces that are more low, down on the head you angle the hair more downwards but as you reach the top you want to raise the the angle your rolling at to keep it tight at the roots! Also if you notice you have too much or too little hair, the best way to part hair for a roller is by parting it with the size of the roller, both width and length too ensure there's not too much or too little hair:)

just to pile on to this recommendation, the clip is not supposed to go on the roller itself. its supposed to go between the root of the hair and the roller. that is why the roller feels like its going to fall out if you turn your head to quickly or bend over. There are plenty of youtube videos out there to show you how to correctly use the clip.

2:50 parting first layer. 3:31 split that layer into 2. 3:53 curling outwards, putting rollers in. 5:50 next laye, clip up the rest, same technique split into 2, but chand direction (curl inwards, roll inwards) 7:50 split in half, clip the bangs down focus on the other half, curl it under, roll it backwards. 8:43 bangs section, use small roller. Roll inwards. 10:29 taking them out. 11:42 results

you can set it with heat orrr you can start with damp hair and when they dry in the rollers it should set, I notice that the results are more drastic with water and you have to be careful not to make it to curly or use to small of rolls
