Having trouble pasting the texture to the mask? The mask stays white? When you go to copy the texture, first you must select the entire layer (ctrl-a) and then copy it (ctrl-c). From there you can ctrl-click into the mask and paste the texture. Another tip: if the texture effect is too strong on your design, click the texture mask > properties tab > and use the density slider to adjust strength.

I'm not a big youtube guy watching wise, but your videos have been a Godsend. As someone who has taught themselves everything from DJing to photoshop to digital marketing, etc. your videos have been hella helpful not only just for t-shirt designs but other areas in design as well. Salute to you my g.

Once you've used your Layer Mask, hit Command + A then you can bring up Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and adjust the texture to your liking.

Im not sure if its some kind of setting i have selected but after I've pasted the texture to the mask my entire canvas becomes semi transparent. The quick fix I've found is to paste the texture in a layer above everything else and change blending modes. But if there might be an easier way to fix this id appreciate some help

You'll only see the semi-transparent look if you don't have a background or if the background is not visible.

@@FULLERMOE Can you make a video for beginners, did not have luck followning this video to place the texture, some people are just getting started and it is not easy to do, like the method of placing it did not work for me when I figure out how to open it. I have seen a bunch of texture videos and I've had trouble with them. People either do not go slow enough or just expect everyone to be at a certain level. I would say I am moderate at using photoshop in my business and still had trouble with your video. Thanks.
