How to Use VLC to Screen Capture With Audio

In this video, I explain how to use the VLC Media Player application to record screen clips for a computer or laptop with excellent quality sound. This will only capture video. It will never capture audio.

DirectShow is useful if you want to record from your built-in camera and microphone. It doesn't record what is on the screen!

Works well. For audio, first check whether the standard audio card is the output device. For me that is Realtek (in Windows sound settings). For a smoother image, increase the frame rate to, for example, 10-15 f/s in the capture screen.

That happens when you leave Capture Mode set to DirectShow. You need to select Desktop.

There is an option to activate audio recording while recording screenshots. Maybe I didn't mention that in the video. But I did not lie, sir. Firstly, this is not a lie. I did not mean to mislead you. Indeed, this method records the screen, not the audio. "In the video, I explain the steps of how to use the VLC application to record the computer screen with sound." That's three times you have stated it records sound/audio. But in this comment you say: "Indeed, this method records the screen, not the audio." What?!! Which statement/s are true then? They can't all be true, can they? The only way your title and description can be "not a lie" and not misleading is if it worked for you. Many people have commented here to say that it did not record audio - they do not get any audio recorded with their video. So then, please show us how you were able to record the audio as well...PLEASE!
