Ahh, great to have you back! Thanks for the indepth video on waterbased printing! It was nice to see the process and how you mix up colors. I'm assuming that once you mix up a color, you can't keep it because it will dry out? I second the tear down video :)

Thanks Heather! Actually no the ink is still good for a long time as long as it’s in a container with the lid closed. I have ink I mixed years ago that I still use and it works great.

Thanks for the great videos, glad you’re back! Ive switched over to trying more waterbased after finding your vids. Id love to see your teardown when you’re done, or just tips in general for clean up. Also when set up, do u tape on top of screen over reg marks? If u dont will the ink dry in there? And should a screen be reclaimed right away after waterbased run or can u let it sit after just pressure washing ink out. I havent yet trusted myself to leave one because i dont want to risk chance of drying.

@@startupscreenprinting awesome! I cant wait. What about the question of tape over squeegee side or print side? Will it dry if u do print side or should u always do squeegee side? Thanks
@startupscreenprinting Жыл бұрын
@@blaketomasino1727 you know, I've never actually tried to tape the substrate side of the screen. I've seen people doing that and was curious myself. As far as the ink drying that way, I don't think it would be an issue. The problem I see with it is clean up just being more involved. With taping the ink-well side, I don't actually have to clean the ink off the tape, I just pull the tape off and the ink comes with it. Just saves time on clean up. Sometimes I'll even tape more of the screen just so I can pull the tape off rather than cleaning all the ink off. So I don't think the issue would be the ink drying, it's just that clean up seems more difficult to me.

Hi Jessie, I was getting the color codes from Separation Studio NXT and one of the colors was Gray C8. Is that Cool Grey 8? I wasnt sure. Thank you!

I’m not positive but that would make sense. I haven’t used Sep Studio NXT so I’m not sure. My guess would be yes :)

Hi Jessie, I am so close to actually putting ink on a shirt. I just did my screens. I used the separation studio so I have my 4 colors and the formulas thanks to watching your videos. What I was wondering is when the program separated the artwork, I saw a percentage number in the left corner of each separated color. I have no idea what the percentage number is for lol.

Hey I'm glad to hear you're getting close! Unfortunately I can't be much help with Sep Studio as I haven't used it in many years haha.

@@startupscreenprinting Thank you !! I can’t seem to find the answer either. I wonder if it’s how much white to mix with each color separation? That’s my guess lol

Haha might be it. Maybe I’ll do a trial of it soon and see what I can figure out

@@startupscreenprinting They company wrote ma and said the percentages was just how much of that color was on the artwork. I did do a few tshirts. I had a quick question Jessie, isn’t watercolor ink make it where you don’t feel the design ? I can feel it on all the shirts. Oh one more question, why do people use black ink in all the cartridges of the print program is only choosing the solo black ink anyway ? The j you for your time Jessie !!
