I want to commend you on the excellence of your instructions. One thing is particularly notable--that is the clear enunciation of the messages. Thank you for your lessons. I have worked AT computers for X years, but my knowledge was like Swiss Cheese--some really solid, good knowledge, but with areas missing. You are helping fill in those gaps. Thank you.

I loved your interview with your Mom. I’m not quite her age. But definitely not used to or comfortable with technology. I’m enjoying your tutorials

This is the best info on this subject, and it was not easy to get you to come up, with other sites being offered instead. I hope I don't lose you because I'll need to repeat and practice and take notes. But I need this information very much. Thank you so much.

First i want to say YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! I've been so intimidated & overwhelmed w/ file explorer and finding things . I seem to just keep making many many many duplicates and duplicate folders on accident. You have a talent for explaining things to easily understand. I HOPE YOU DO MORE VIDEOS !!!!! i.e. word, excel, OneNote, etc. also OneDrive ,google drive , settings ,customization, my teen daughters know less than i do about all these things and they have classes at school for it but its not explained in an understandable way to them just a more confusing way. I have to ask you , Q.1) Why copy and paste a file from one folder to another and creating duplicate files in multiple folders and locations? What is this purpose or reason someone would need to do this? Q.2) Can you only use what u copy & paste to the clipboard in file explorer only ? or can you copy a file and paste it in another program or app ,i.e. Gmail? Thank You!! i am so thankful to have watched your videos & hope there is more technology and computer stuff u can help me & everyone else like me that gets overwhelmed and frustrated w/ it.

I have two partial answers: 1) I use copy (as opposed to cut) when I am copying files/folders from one device to another and don't want to get rid of the originals. I do this with pictures from a camera if I want to have copies on my computer that I can modify or delete freely while keeping a backup on the camera or if I really do plan on using the files in both places, such as a document on my tablet and also on my computer, or a music file on my phone and a copy on my computer. 2) I'm not positive but in my experience what you copy in file explorer stays in file explorer. Increasingly however you can "drag and drop" files from file explore into other programs/apps so they aren't entirely different worlds.

go to the top of file explorer and click on "view." View tells windows how you want this page to look. After clicking "view" on the left you'll see choices such as navigation pane etc.

Totally confused about what you were doing from 3.00 - 3.45. You were showing how to copy and paste files but then I could not work out what your intentions where as you were clickin left right and centre without really separating your actions by explanation. Watched it 4 times but still not really understanding it.

This is typical for Americans: Control C and Control Z is pronounced the same way. Now you know why you don't know. In most countries in the world there is a clear difference between the two reflected in pronunciation. Get of you imperial system also, it has been long out dated and is at best a guessing game. Metric system was first and makes sense all the way.
