Thanks Reggie for the very informative video. My green light does not come on because one window and patio door was replaced. Could you please let me know how you would bypass those zones and arm the system. I tried to follow the user manual and no luck. THanks!

Thank you for this very informative video. I have a trouble light on and when I followed your *2 instructions the display shows “communications.” There are no numbers showing. I purchased the home several years ago and have not had the system monitored. Why is it now showing “trouble?”

I know this is an old post maybe you can help, we have the DSC power series 625 same keypad, we never had a problem zone 7 open and we cant find what it is? Replaced the main battery also while checking it was low voltage and leaking, didn't show a fault the only fault we have known is 4 no communication not using phone now, in the book states zone 7 not used and installers years ago only have 6 zones listed, on the LCD screen panel, now the system isnt armed so we cant even by pass zone 7 to arm, but we would like to know where or what is zone 7, states open please respond thanks called dsc no help?

Hi, my keypad started chirping twice, after 5 seconds it chirps twice again. My yellow trouble light is on. I stopped the chirping by setting my code, disarming in a moment. What is your opinion of the double chirp? Thanks, Robert

I have issues with this type of panel where it keeps going into program mode so none of the buttons work so to get them to work briefly I press the hash button and hold down on button 1 this enables me to access the keypad, but leave it for a couple of minutes and I have 'Program' highlighted bottom right.

How do I program zone assignments on a PC5508Z keypad? I’ve found info that says *8+installer code+001 then enter 2-digit zone designation code, and keep going by zone, entering two digits until you’ve done all 8, but it doesn’t seem to work? Any ideas? Thanks!

For some reason, my siren chirps every time I arm or disarm the system(along with the keypad), or when I come home from being away the siren chirps along with the keypad. Is this normal? it's super annoying and loud. Can I disarm my siren from chirping every time I arm or disarm the system?

I have a DSC PC 3000 alarm system and I have no power at the key pads .The system was out of service for several months till the smoke detectors were replaced and when the system was reactivated it worked for a day and now there is no power at the key pads , do you have a suggestion for a fix for this .

I know this was posted a long time ago..but I have a question.. I can change my date and time. And right now the date and time is perfect.. but I want it to display on the keypad when keypad is idle. now it always says the name of the company. Is there anyway to get it back to display the time and date when Idle. I have installer code 5010 and I know i need to go into *8 but i get lost from there.. Please help. thanks

I will have to check this out more. We are leasing a building that has an older key pad like this. motion sensors work because walking all over they always beep if you are in that area. I have another simple alarm but would like to get this one set up for local use and as a back up. first, do not know any of the old codes so not sure if I can disconnect all power and reset it to a default. 2nd is to turn off the chimes. currently there is only a red light on. would like to use because of the 6 sensors and loud alarm. seems a waste to trash a system that seems to function. First step is to see if they used a default pin like 1234 or totally reset this thing. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Try and hold the away button for 3 seconds to turn it off
