I WAS GIVEN AN INSTANT POT WITH NO MANUAL. MOST INTELLIGENT DEMONSTRATION I HAVE SEEN AFTER WATCHING ABOUT 20 VIDEOS. ALL THE YAHOOS DOING "RECIPES" NEED TO INCORPORATE ALL THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFETY AND PANEL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE "MANY DIFFERENT" MODELS. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Loved this video. Its like you talked "to me", not "Down to me". And the step by step walkthrough was easy to follow. The video was 14 minutes, but it felt like 5 (no wasted chit chat or unfunny jokes). Even your recipes of the two dishes were simple and easy. You come off like every average person and that is refreshing. I learned a few things from this video. Thank you

its kind of absurd this thing doesn't have some other message instead of "ON" when it starts.. its pretty screwed up you have to listen for a "click"... there is enough lights and buttons this should be simple. Not sure who designed this thing, he needs slapped up side the head. even a "warm" or something would be good. they don't want you to know it takes another 20 minutes to cook your "25" minute meal i guess...

I use to porridge option to make congee and it's a really neat feature, if there's something that would normally take hours I just just pressure cook now. Recently I made a thick milky bone broth by boiling chicken bones on the manual/pressure cook setting for 40 minutes :) it's great for hearty soups or ramen broth

I got my Instant Pot Duo Plus 3 weeks ago. I cleaned it and pressure cooked 15-bean soup that I love - spectacular in less than an hour total (build pressure, pressure cook, natural release). A couple days later, I made rice, and that was quick, maybe 20 minutes total. I added red enchilada sauce and grated cheese, and it was an incredible side. Next, I made a roast - I had heard somewhere 20 minutes per pound thawed, and cooked 2lbs in less than an hour total… incredible beef dip sandwiches with mayo and horseradish, dipped in Au jus. Heavenly ♥️ So, I’m here now to learn the little things I overlooked. Thanks so much for the deep dive info on the Instant Pot Duo, it was very helpful. My take away is kind of feel it out, and tweak as you go. Not all roasts or pork shoulders will be the same size, so get used to winging it, and tweak. It was great how you hit safety items hard and repeatedly. So key. I love my Instant Pot Duo Plus. It’s hardcore and cooks anything I want to eat, great! As Nike says, Just do it!

Thank You 🙏🏾!!! You saved my life with this Instant Pot. I have received it as a gift from my job. Never use a pressure cooker in my life I thought it was just a regular crockpot shows you how naïve I am. But I’m glad I love the way that you explained this to me very informative very detailed. I will be using this all the time I have the 8 quart instant pot. Thank you so much again.

Asian people make porridges, a lot. And fun fact, instant pot is invented by an Asian Canadian, Robert Wang.

I just ordered mine on Amazon and searched for some recipes, and yours came up. I let you know how it turns out, and how well your "tutorial" helped (which I'm sure is a LOT!).

I just got an instant pot-air fryer. I am interested in the pressure cooker function MORE than anything else...for now. I knew pressure cookers could be very dangerous, as I grew up looking at pressure cooking with the old style pots. I needed to see how to use this PROPERLY. I watched 2 other videos, with the model I have the focus is on the air-fryer function. This is the PERFECT video to UNDERSTAND the IMPORTANCE of the PRESSURE BUILDUP; RELEASE and the STEAM . The photos of the burned lady are extremely alarming but great to ALWAYS REMEMBER how incredibly important it is to follow these instructions to THE LETTER. I will forward this video to everyone I know who owns an Instant Pot. Hey! I eat porridge for breakfast 3-4 Xs a week! With cinnamon, raisins, shredded coconut, walnuts and Maple syrup from Quebec. I am in Canada though :-). Thank you for all the safety tips! You are an excellent teacher and you go straight to the point!

I just bought my first one today and your video is very helpful. The industry should buy your video and send it with the pot. The picture of your unfortunate friend says a million words that's the biggest concern is that danger. Someone gets in a hurry and doesn't know about that pressure it could be bad news for them or someone close to them. This is very useful thank you

Could you add tomato sauce at the start of this recipe & still be okay pressure cooking it?

You have to be careful with tomato sauce. It tends to scorch. You can add at the end. Stir in and use Saute function to bring to a boil.

Thank you for this very clear visual instruction video. The instruction manual that came with the Duo Instant Pot was not clear at all because several important steps were left out. I just could not get the pot to work the way it should. I feel confident now that I will succeed in cooking with my Duo Instant Pot.
