I love that you say “when possible” and “depending on what your next move is” because so many say that you always need to do a certain thing, like ALWAYS KEEP YOUR HIPS CLOSE TO THE WALL but for dynamic movement that’s not always practical. This is a great video I will be sharing with my newer climbing friends!

Bruh, I've watched so many freaking videos on techniques and with your short it finally clicked, no one ever talked about the bent knees, just hips, and twist them and back flagging and inside flagging but it finally freaking makes sense. Thank you!

Nice one 👌 and thank you for showing it so nicely. I preach this day in day out… and tomorrow again and the day after… maybe one person seeing this here is one person less I need to teach this 😅 but engage your shoulders… open shoulder means less strength as you are not utilising the back - only your arm muscles. The better you get in this, the less strength you need.

Thank you for this. It's a good explainer.

I think all of these tips are great but they really don't understand that some beginners don't have the grip strenght. And it is easier to compensate for the lack of gripstrength by not having straight arms and being more directly above tour feet so your legs take the most of the load.

I totally get what you mean - I actually made a short for climbers who find straight arms harder on grip so this may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHzIinuli9GAhrM&lc=UgxbJ9ov2zH-hk_i18h4AaABAg
