Love the idea of using the monthly view as a budget planner
@RobinLeeHatcher_Novelist6 жыл бұрын
I'm a novelist, and this month I began tracking my words written per day in my monthly view. I used some pretty faux glitter stickers and write the total on them. I love having this one place to look to see how I'm doing in order to meet my deadline. I used to keep a separate journal just for word count, but I've ceased using it since the Happy Planner came into my life. I tried tracking weekly, but that was too many places to look. I think this monthly view is the best way for me.

Absolutely the monthly planner section for budgeting is brilliant, thank you! I will keep the deadlines on the daily section though, just in case I miss one and get a penalty. One thing that really helps me is next to the name of the payee on my bank's electronic bill pay I add the due date, as part of the name so that there's no way I can miss it.

I use my monthly view to keep track of my exercise routine. I record the days I exercise, type of exercises I do and the minutes exercised.

I use my monthly for everything. Appts, bill due dates, important things I don't want to forget. Then when I do my weekly spread I can look and see what's happening that week that's impotant, then I do my checklists, errands, chores, and weekly meal plan. I have a separate tab for budgeting. But that's much more in depth of where every penny goes.

I use the monthly view for when books and movies are coming out. I like the idea of putting the verse of the day. I will have to try that one.

The main reason I wanted to start a planner was for my gardening and house plants. Keeping track of when I fertilized, watered, when to start seeds, what worked well in my landscape, what didn't work...etc.

Heather, I love your videos - very informative and lots of great ideas. My question is about time management. I’m curious how you find the time for all your planners. So many times I end up skipping days or even weeks in one or more of my planners. I’d love to know how you manage or coordinate them in your life. Not necessarily day in the life, but do you set time limits on planning or journals? Do you multi-task? (i.e. journaling while doing laundry?) Which do you do in beginning vs end of day? You seem to get SO MUCH ACCOMPLISHED. I’m curious how you fit it all in with life and work.

i use my monthly spread in my regular planner for important events and appointments .. so when i go week by week i flip to the monthly to make sure i'm not missing anything important .. also helpful when i'm planning ahead to see this at a glance. i haven't figured out what i'm gonna do with the monthly view in my Memory Planner yet .. usually just glue the pages together.

I came up with more ideas you could use the monthly spread and put a quote in it every day this give me an idea off of your faith planner and you could also use it as a work out plan or if you work out a lot or a workout log kind of type a thing I just wanted to share those

Interesting I divide each square into three slots, AM, MID DAY and PM appointments only or due dates. I usually have 3 items on the list. For example: Thursday AM open, Mid Day (12 noon) BSF 12:15 , Spanish Class 3:30 PM, I always write down the time. Basically I track where I need to be and what is due, library books, appointments.

For my monthly view I am going to list a special event in history that happened that day. I also might include special days in the family such as anniversaries memorials. I am working on my faith and want to list the special days in the Catholic church that I need to follow. Also my goal for next year is to read the Bible in a Year. I have the list of passages to read each day, so I will simply list "Day 1, Day 6, etc." on each day.

Hi Heather, Great videos! I want to use a memory planner for a baby book someday. My daughter and son-in-law want to have a family, but are waiting for this COVID thing to improve. So, any ideas on how to use a memory planner (hopefully undated) as a baby book? I mean you have this darling niece Maddie that maybe you did this for her (??) Hope you'll do this as a video. Thanks again.

Sarah Nelson hey there I noticed that too - but the way I think she did it was print out the pic and used the recollections (from Michaels or really where ever you live a local craft store will have paper punches of every shape and size you can imagine so it’s truly up to you and where ever your mind takes you!!! 😊) punches and just centered where she wanted cut and and then you push down and - viola ¡¡¡!!! 💥 💥 💥 I hope I spelled that right I’m not fluent in French obviously 😂 I hope this helps- but seeing as you don’t have a video to be a visual aide it may be worthless to you. Now I’m rambling 😝. Good luck sweetie and I’m positive there are plenty of videos on here about this very subject you could check out - but Heather’s def one of my favs so I understand the willingness to wait 😊.
