You just made things easier on me I think. Want Avermida Live Gamer 4k, but then I would need a camlink and camera too. That's a lot of money. So I was gonna have to go with the Avermedia Duo since it comes with a camlink as part of the actual capture card. This would make it cheaper but I can't record in 2k 144 fps with that option. Now I'm thinking by using this method I can just use my Asus Zenfone 6 as my through USB as my cam for now, and get the capture card I really wanted. I can do this through a normal usb right? You said you mention thunderbolt or lightning or some bunk. I should be able to do this through my usb 3.0 right? I hope so because my gb port is gonna be used for something else while streaming and recording.
