Hello! Thanks for the helpful instructions. I'm shooting with my Zenit 122 for the first time and cannot wait to see the results. Sometimes I forget to turn the winding arm and press shutter relaese button twice. I hope it does not damage my film...

Hello Aytac, Congratulations on this new adventure, it does not affect you if you press the shutter button again since the shutter can only be reopened once we have advanced the film. Good luck with your photos!

Hi, it wasn't showing the exposition red light when pressing halfway the shutter so I put new batteries and it worked for 2 minutes and then again the red light doesn't show, could it be that the camera is damaged? Can I use it anyway without the red exposition light showing up? also, i changed the exposition a hundred times to make it ok and for the 2 single minutes it worked the light dot was always red, it never switched to green. Thank you!!! and great tutorial.

hello! I just baught a camera one like the one you have in the video. it was really helpful! but i have a question. how do you know if the batteries have to be removed? there are batteries inside but i don’t know how to see if they are still working.

Hello Leonora, To check the battery, look through the viewfinder press halfway the shutter button if one o more LEDs light up it means the battery is in good condition. You can see how that look in the 0:58 minute. Thanks for your comments!

Hi. Need a help! Shutter of my Zenit 122K Camera is jamming... I tried to turn it after taking a picture, but it won't rotate. I did a little research on the internet and they suggested that opening the bottom plate. But I can't open the bottom plate (even though I unscrewed 4 small screws) what should I do? Thank you 🌻

I bought a zenit 122 and there's something on the prism maybe fungi or crack or something idk, does it affects the result in film?
@photographyandmore3 жыл бұрын
hi Ruel, If it is a crack, it will not affect the result you get in the film. If it is a fungus, it would not affect the result on the film either, but it is not convenient to leave that fungus there since it will continue to grow and at some point it will reach the lens infecting it.

hey man, i got a 122 recently and when i turn the focus dial it doesnt change anything, any idea of what it could be ?
@photographyandmore2 жыл бұрын
Hi, If when moving the focus ring there is no better sharpness in the image, it may be because you are too close to the object, try moving away a little or try to focus on something that is not close to you. If after this test you still can't focus correctly then I think maybe your lens has a problem.

@@photographyandmore Its been 2 years since I commented this and you reply. I'm sorry for my grammar and I apologize too for not replying back then, What I mean is I pressed the RF button and the film just disappeared. Like the Film of the Konica Minolta film is gone like the camera just ate it like what you did at the end. My bad, I now know how to take it back and get the film and I'm sorry for my bad English too because its not my mother tongue. Thank you for reading this.

Hello! I found the same Zenit 122k camera unused in our old storage unit, and I'm planning to use it. Thank you for this video; now I know how to operate the camera. Question: Do I really need to put batteries in it for it to operate? Because I'm planning on using a light metering app on my phone.

Hi, I haven't used 122 before but I had a Zenit TTL with a nonworking light meter before, it worked fine with an app! I think it would be the same here

The back door must be closed before advancing the film, otherwise it would be exposed.
@photographyandmore2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I usually advance the film a couple of times before I close the rear door to make sure it loads correctly.
@MDawoodKarim2 жыл бұрын
@@photographyandmore It's not required. Usually what I do, is stuck the film head in the advance pully for sure, close the door and advance couple of time; during that I notice the movement of the rewind lever. It it rotates anti-clockwise each and every time, I am sure that the film is loaded for sure. It way, I can take upto 38-39 exposures on a 36 exp film. That's the rule we have been practicing for last 35 years.

Эх, иностранцы. Прокручивать в обратную сторону кассету при зарядке пленки ее уплотняя нельзя. 1. Пленка царапается, 2. Пленка натягивается, что может привезти к ее разрыву.

Wow, well ... what can I say. I shot Zenit-E which came in 1965 and even when arrived it could not compete with Pentax Spotmatic or similar, but it was an "OK" camera for a budget when starting up. But now seing this being made in the middle of 90s... what an ugly piece of plastic garbage, yet, still the same stone age as the 30 years older Zenit E aside from the TTL measuring (I mean, even the lightmeter on the Zenit E was more logical and faster than this one, but then again, something similar had also Nikon FM2 which is a legend) That shutter button and its "long way to push" is what sets me up the most...
