The heating! This was where I was going wrong. 😅 Thank you for this. My son sleeps in a drop down over the front seats and it’s often extremely hot up there even on cool nights. I’m hoping this will help

I've used this vent mode, mainly when I've just arrived on a site, and your sweating having set up the caravan and put the awning up! Otherwise it's next to useless if you want hot water as you already pointed out.

Totally agree Gareth. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Sending our best wishes, Keith & Michele

Yep. Found the blowing of the hot air from water in boiler frustrating. Wanted to keep air moving when dog was in the van but was too warm for too long.

Good video 👍 The whale space heater has a very similar feature in our Bailey Orion you can have that on fan only but as it's a separate system to the Truma water water you can have the water on as well still.
@keithandmichele5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jack, Thanks for your comment, it does seem a bit crazy that we have to turn the hot water off to use the vent system 🤔 Sounds like your Whale system has got it right 👍🏻 Thanks for watching, Keith & Michele.

Truma airvent doesn't take air from outside, it just circulate the hot air inside the caravan, right? I'm thinking of getting and AC unit or an omnivent.
@keithandmichele4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, You are correct, it doesn’t take air from outside, it takes cooler air from inside the lower part of the caravan & circulates it throughout. An omnivent would be better as it draws out the warm air as it rises to the top of the caravan. Obviously an AC unit is the most effective option but these do come with a high price tag. Hope this helps, best wishes, Keith & Michele.
@johnarmstrong75014 жыл бұрын
Thought this was an option to vent the system not the caravan. As in.. once you’ve finished with heating your water then to cool the heater (not the water) down quickly you vent the system. Correct me if I’m wrong...
@keithandmichele4 жыл бұрын
Hi John, As we understand it, the vent facility is used to circulate cool air evenly throughout the caravan during hot conditions. Thanks for watching, Keith & Michele.

Carefree Caravanning on another note.. may I ask... I have a brand new caravan. When heating the water or caravan using the Truma combi.. is it normal for the exhaust fumes to smell burnt.? Thanks in advance, John
@keithandmichele4 жыл бұрын
Hi John, We’ve never experienced the smell of burning when using Truma heating. It could be something as simple as dust that has accumulated on the internal heating element which should burn off after a short time. If this continues we would strongly advise contacting your dealership to get it investigated.

Run the hot water out before using the vent function , then your not waiting the 20 mins or so with warm air
@MrJona7han5 жыл бұрын
If you turn the hot water off then turn on the hot water taps it will be replaced with cold water and then cold air 😊
