In this video, we show you a simple way to verify that your records are added correctly. If you don't set this up in the proper way, then your cold emails will go to spam.

I’ve only sent 4emails to leads so far and before that I made sure to set up SPF,DKIM and DMARC. And I want to reconfirm if my DMARC is PASS so I sent a new email to my personal account. It landed in Junk? How is this possible considering I’ve only sent 4 emails prior and I made sure I did not have any spammy words or links. Just plain text.

Don't send cold emails to personal email addresses, they are much more likely to land in spam. Also, there are a lot of factors affecting your deliverability beyond SPF, DKIM and DMARC. If you are sending a test email, it needs to look like a real email and not simply say something like "test".

@@emailchaser okay you’re right on the personal. Just sent again to a company email and it landed in the primary inbox. However, I’ve gotten a big red banner on the email when I clicked into it. My profile pic also got replaced with a red bg and white X. The message reads: “The sender’s email address uses abnormal character, which might be used to spoof real addresses. Avoid clicking links, downloading attachments, or replying to this message.” I’ve followed much of the guidelines on deliverability so far except that my DKIM and DMARC aren’t shown as PASS in the Original Message. Could that be the reason? Or could it be because I’m using a similar domain name to send the email to another? (Only difference is that there is a dash in one of them)

@@emailchaser You're right. I've just retested again on my company email and it landed in the primary. However, upon clicking into it, not only is my profile pic replaced with a big white X, there is also a red banner stating: "This message seems dangerous." "The sender’s email address uses abnormal characters, which might be used to spoof real addresses. Avoid clicking links, downloading attachments, or replying to this message." I've avoided all spammy words and the email seems genuine. Followed most of the guidelines already except I found out that my DKIM and DMARC does not show PASS. For context, that email was sent from a microsoft to google. And there is also a yellow 'external' tag on top of the email. Do you have any ideas on the possible reasons?
