Hi sir, PN wheel 19 & 20mm. Which you recommend for mr04 evo2 for RCP track? Any reasons to select 1 over another? Looking forward from your expert advice.

Hi, I personally use 19mm PN wheels. Recently I have been running the new PN F1 19mm (flanged) wheels. Please note that my MR04 is not setup to its full potential. I built it so that I can run it with basic setup. I even took the PN Motor Mount (aluminum) out and replaced it with stock (plastic) motor mount. Although not setup to its full potential, it's not slow. It's only .30 secs slower than my LiPo powered RX28 with 2500KV car. So its plenty fast for an AAA powered car. I'm running Kyosho 30 tires because I want the car to understeer a little since the car is top heavy. I also don't want to glue tires. The PN Firm tires (one I use in my RX28's) will make the car traction roll because it has more bite than the Kyosho 30 and will require to glue the sidewalls to make it understeer for the MR04. Here's some diameter info. Anything over 22.8mm is a bit high for the MR04 and I don't want that because the car easily traction rolls and the tires can rub in the body. My ideal tire diameter size for me, from new to worn out is 22.6mm - 21.7mm. 20mm with Kyosho 30 Low Height = 23.7mm 20mm with Kyosho 30 Super Low Height = 22.8mm 19mm with Kyosho 30 Low Height = 22.6mm Note: This is on my MR04 with 8500KV motor.

@tjaymacRC thank you sir for your details information. 🙏 do you use any rear shock oil damper and the friction damper? I am not new into RC racing but recently just bought the mr04 evo2. Please advise what is the necessary option parts. I will just put it in base on your advice and I will just focus to enjoy the mr04 all the way. 😃thank you sir!

Yup, video should be out in a couple of weeks. My way though, Idk how other local drivers are glueing theirs.

@tjaymacRC cool. I tried it myself and screwed it up cause the glue dried too fast so the tire mounted crappy. I need to learn since I'm running mod now trying to be a fast boy like you 😁

@@gotmesomYeah, that video seems to be in demand. lol Don’t worry, you’ll get used to how to glue the tires after few tries. Mod is too fast (even for me). I personally like 2500. More track time and tires lasts longer. A lot longer.
