I'm having fun though doing most interior panels in digital 3d camo in a 2003 blazer haha

@559powerscape yeah my girlfriend has a 4 door spray bombed camo with tremclad so I grabbed a roll of 3m digital camo for like 20 bucks in town full roll. A little hard to work with very thick so the door handle pieces are harder to do, the speaker shrouds over the tweeters on the dash were tricky with the holes. Can't wait to do smooth straight pieces haha

This really isn't the best way to wrap a smaller piece like this the better way to do it would be to put tension across that first part you laid the vinyl onto. Ideally you would want a way to slightly shrink the vinyl then hold it from atleast three sides which is hard to do hence why many don't do it this way but once you hold either four or three sides you want to push the part into it. This will cause the part to stretch only slightly since you pre shrinked it and won't peel the sides up even though you stretched the vinyl over the entire part equally doing it this way keeps the carbon pattern looking as real as can be.

Also doing it that way you wouldn't need to slice it to fold it over the edge without getting wrinkles that's basically the whole point to the method I described it allows you to just lay the vinyl easily over the edge by applying heat and cutting it for a perfect clean wrapped edge.

You never want to stretch it while hot your only supposed to use the heat to bring the vinyl back to memory or use slight heat to help stretch. You can also use it to break the memory but that isn't the way it was used here.

Damn that's what's up, I don't know anything about wrap but it came out coo. Thanks for the info ima try it like you said next time and see what's up. I'm just getting by. I'm no expert by any means, I just get shit done by any means. Happy Holidays bro 🙏

@@559powerscape much respect bro I'm not a expert either in fact your likely better then I am and have more hands on experience then I do I just been watching tons of how to wrap videos trying to learn it as best as I can. It's not easy to wrap things perfectly the right way and I also find that sometimes what ever way works is good enough. It's when you get into the harder to wrap stuff and want it to look absolutely perfect that this sort of stuff becomes.more important.

@full twist wrist yes brother I agree 100%. wrapping is tough, but the more you use it the better and easier it gets, it's honestly the experience and pointers you get from others the helps alot. Thank you for your Support brother, have a good weekend and Happy Holidays 🙏

you need to give yourself more material to work with. you misplaced the piece multiple times and weakened the adhesive. it should be okay since it’s an interior piece but that wouldn’t last on the exterior. you also didn’t give yourself enough material to tuck properly

Thanks just making it work with what I had left...no issues yet, still holding up. Thank you for the info 🙏
