Takes bed off to wrap back of cab because “that’s how we do it, don’t want any of the original color to be seen” Puts bed back on without wrapping front end of bed....

When they remove the bed and are walking with it you can see that it's actually not painted where as the the back of the truck cab is painted. So they are correct in saying that they are wrapping all exterior parts that are painted.

Also looks like they didn’t wrap the top of truck to me. There is still black showing to the sides of the third brake light.

D.I.Y. AUTO SCHOOL it’s supposed to have a matte effect, but I see where you’re coming from. Maybe if the colour was different it would look a lot better but it still looks good!

Mitch needs to make a channel for just disassembly of the vehicles. It would be so much of a help compared to the other content has as far as wrapping goes. you do such a deep break down it'd be nice to see in detail how its done. Please please please please

I've been thinking about wrapping my el camino. Problem is there is no overhang around the bed and it is one piece connected to the cab. Looks like spray lining is not an option. So, would wrapping down to the floor of the bed and putting in a floor mat be a good option? I'm wondering if wrapping around the wheel wells and stuff is a bad idea? I'm guessing if the bed was spray lined and masked there would be no way to get the vinyl clean up to the edge. starting to think painting is my only solution and I'll have to save for years to do that

There is a panel thats really long and it is high. The panel above the doors that go all the way around the back. How did you vinyl that in one peice? I wrapped a truck for SEMA but I couldn't wrap that in 1 peice because it was too big.

Will vinyl wrap show imperfections in the original paint? For example, if I wanted to wrap my '01 Sequoia but it has a few nickle sized paint chips missing on the hood, will that show through the vinyl layer?

Tank Hulkington yes it will, it shows every imperfection so you should touch up the paint prior to wrapping

upto 5 years if you look after it, and it actually is a piece of cake to remove and doesnt affect thepaint at all, in fact protects your paint,and a truck like that id say 2k us

Wrap on truck looks great. If the wrap edges under the hood would have been cleaner and consistent, it would look so much better when the customer opens the hood. See video at 18:58 to see what I mean. But over-all, looks painted and not wrapped.
