Thanks for sharing. I used a Subaru Forester (ground clearance similar to Duster) last summer to get there via F232, all was fine. I did check if I could do the return via F210 East but indeed I did not dare to cross the river and used F232 instead. F232 is not a bad option at all though !

Yes, it's definitely possible in a Forester when conditions are dry in the river on F232 and if you drive well through this river crossing

I went by myself few weeks ago using Dacia Duster. Stayed 2 nights at Hvanngil Hut pity the hut is shut for the season on my arrival so I was all alone there. Drove over 2,000 kms. Crossed all rivers except F233 which I skipped due to the river crossing there can be atrocious. I've also been told not to crossed the river to Landmannalaugar info centre but I did it anyway and with no problems. But I hate the roads around Landmannalaugar because of the road conditions, it's really bad. Langisjor is pretty straight forward with no deep ford passage.
