Ry, did you swap out the brake booster for the Titan to the X? Looks like you have the Titan rotors on the front?

For this swap do you need the xterra alternator because I saw on a couple of threads?

Also, on the guide, it says you need the xterra transmission valve body. Why? And does it go for a 2wd as well for swapping?

You only need the alternator if the alternator on the VK56 is a two wire connector. If it's 3 then you can just use that one. No you only need the valve body if you have a column shift Titan transmission and need to covert the valve body over.

Do you know if the off-road gorilla vk swap hose kit will work on the pathfinder? It says it’s for vq40 to vk56 swap but it only specifies the fronty and the x.

Yea the VQ in the pathy is exactly the same as the Xterra. You should be good. If you want to be sure, you can reach out to Angel. He's pretty responsive.

I don't know if you ever talk about mileage, but seeing as you have dealt with your fair share of Nissan Xterras, I was wondering if you are MPG conscious, or do you not really care? Also, if you do track MPG, what are your averages? Have you ever been able to get reasonably good gas mileage out of any of your Xterras? Can anyone ever hope for maybe 22 city / 26 highway or more?

TBTH I don't care. Without a computer telling me the MPG I find it too tedious to track lol. It's probably a character flaw but when I come across stuff like that I just avoid it. I will say when I take my 2WD 6speed on long trips I seem to get good gas mileage. But most autos and 4WD will likely hover around 20 or lower based on what I read.

@@Rythecarguy I spent probably more time than anybody would care to admit, but I did a whole bunch of math taking the average Xterra mileage and comparing it to something that gets an average of 25 to 26 mpg, and the monthly price difference is totally insignificant. Honestly, it doesn't really seem to make much of an impact to spend more time thinking about it.

I’m towing a 2600lb enclosed trailer and my Xterra jjst feels so damn slow with it on there. Really want an 8 in it so I don’t have to buy a new truck eventually.

@@umad8ro yeah. I like to take it slow. Recording video also really slows me down. I did swap a VQ in an out of an exterior, and it probably only took me like six hours of work. I did that this week and didn't record it. Where do you live? Send the shit to my house and you and I can do it together. We'll get it done faster. 😆

Way too many variables to say. For instance, I already had the engine to put in it. I bought an X from a friend for dirt cheap. So my total investment was only a couple grand not counting the original cost of the Titan.
