I have a question: from your video, I see that you didn’t remove the camshafts. To replace the entire kit (including the cam phasers), is it necessary to remove them, or can it be done with the camshafts still installed?

I have one question. Is it only necessary to remove the wire loom at the back from its bracket by freeing it from its plastic rivets, or is it also necessary to separate that bracket from the plenum? Everything else is clear. -Thanks!

One thing nice about the 4.6 you can go around 100,000 before a plug change is necessary.

@rythecarguy Would you consider this a better option than doing a pro4x swap or installing an air locker? That said, I think I’ll wait to see some driving and off road reviews of the unit before I decide to buy.

I’ve got the same problem and I’ve got bolt extractors for sockets but where my oil pan is, I can’t get a socket on there. I just ordered some crescent wrench extractors from JB tools hope those work. I used the socket version for seized caliper bolts and it was amazing. Very minimal effort, came right off all I needed was enough torque to turn it.

Does the tire pressure have to be uneven tho??

Offroad Gorilla carries a gasket called LubeLocker specifically for the M226. No need for RTV. I have not found it on Amazon, buy from the Gorilla.

Toaster oven. An inexpensive toaster oven to warm up the bearings makes pressing them on SOOOO much easier. They almost slide on. same for axle bearings.

Im doing the same job but I have a issue I want remove the crankshaft pulley but I don’t have the locker do you know any other tips please? And should I remove the pulley at the TDC bc there is a mark anyway? And should I change the water pump and all the seal before I put everything back? I really need your help bc I can’t found anywhere thank you?!!!!

Thanks for the video. I may switch out my locker for a truetrac LSD on my vk56 swapped frontier. The rear wheels break loose too easy leaving red lights lol.
