Hi, do you know if it works with pre facelift electric mirrors as well? Because the motors look identical, but the mirrors themselves mount differently.

sorry do you meant pre facelift, you mean Golf mk2 type 19 mirrors? I don't know, but yes a strong chance they are the same.

@@RestoDesignsnando Yes I meant the type 19 mirrors. I have 2 sets but every motor is faulty in someway or another so I though I would just swap them over from a Passat. I just bought a pair because they were only 20 euros which is dirt cheap considering pre facelift electric mirror prices 😅. The only thing I couldnt figure out so far is where I can connect the heating part of the mirror, because the wiring loom for the CE1 is different when it comes to the heating of the mirrors than what you used in the video. Thanks for the help and I will give an update once the b3 mirrors arrive.

@@mateburkus627 ok so wiring wise, the rear heated screen is plug E pin 15, on the wiring diagram that pin is also used for the heated mirrors. The wire colour is white or white/green.

@@RestoDesignsnando So update, I just swapped over the motors from the Passat mirrors I bought and even though they look a little bit different they fit perfectly and so do the mirrors. The motors are working completely fine altough a little bit slow. I've yet to do the heating part because its bloody cold outside but I'm hoping there won't be any suprises there. 😅 Thank you once again, for the video and your help!

it would seem like the unit in the mirror is the same as the ones found on a T4 van according to 7zap. Haven't been to my local junkyard yet to see if it looks the same so can't confirm it

Yep the part number is the same, T4, Corrado and Passat.
