It is relatively safe, I even went on my morning runs near where I stayed. Exercising normal caution helps in any city though.

Why didn't you go to the CBD in this city?

The area with lilongwe city mall and devils street is what they call town, so I guess that's part of CBD. But there are also so many other parts of the city I couldn't go to due to time and circumstances. Lilongwe is a big city, this video is really just a highlight.
