Just a question about the root part with its rig whilst the walking speed. If it's too difficult to put its rightful poses if it depends on the walking speed, does it matter to mirror the poses to get it right or is it just that it doesn't matter and that it could be any kind of walk cycle to match its walking speed?

@JayceMcCormick

Do you have all the bones of the scout selected? If so you have to double click the scout icon and keep selecting until you find the proper bone to animate. And remember to select a rig for easier animation.

@@JayceMcCormick spline is easy to use imo, spline is just the exact same a linear but spline is adding more human like fluidity to the movements such as when it’s fast it will do an opposite motion that’s small and finish with the motion you set the last key frame as
@JayceMcCormick
@JayceMcCormick 3 ай бұрын
@Detona-ln8ze yea but sometimes when I click on a keyframe and move it it's spline at first, but when I select and move the keyframe again it goes to linear. LIKE WHY.

@@cgijoe5671 Also if I want my character to just stop or something after I've looped the animation a few times, do I need to have those start/end keyframes in the motion editor set up before that? Or does keyframing anything after looped and smoothed just break it?

I saw another tutorial a while ago where it said that you should never animate the root because you get weird slides and in others walk cycles tutorials people use the pelvis instead of the root like in this video. I guess both methods are valid right?.
