Several questions: What kind of car do you drive? Do you use a regular iron or steamer ? I'm thinking about getting a steamer since I'm terrible at ironing. Maybe you could do a video on it.

We are trying to cut back on our dry cleaning bill so I am now washing all of my husband's dress shirts at home. At $80 bucks a pop, I am so nervous about ruining them! This video is definitely helpful! I'll be checking to see if you have any video's available for dress pants! If not, can you make a helpful video for that as well?? Thanks!!

Great video Antonio... ... I was wondering if you could compare washing your shirts this way to taking them to a dry cleaners to have them laundered and pressed. Will the commercial route significantly affect the shirt's longevity?

Cotton is very sturdy stuff -- don't panic! Wool trousers are much more delicate and would take careful hand-washing. If you've got specific questions, I recommend posting them at MensStyleQA (dot com), our new interactive Q&A site! It allows people to post questions, answer other people's questions, and up-rate good answers from other users. Much more useful and searchable than our KZbin comments.

What about during covid times? How often are you washing your clothes? For me I always need to wash right after I come home from being outside. Def killing the longevity of them :/

Do you have a maytag top loading washing machine? And what detergent do you use?

Although I disagree with the car analogy (I'd rather drive just about anything other than a BMW - they break the most of any car I've worked with, plus are the most expensive to repair), that's another topic for another time. On topic, I'll add that perhaps the most important step (in my opinion) is hang-drying. I had problems with shirts wearing out and deforming all the time until I decided to not let any of my dress shirts in the dryer ever again. Even my cheap ones last a long time now.

Some front loaders are rough on clothes. Some have sharp edges on the drum. You need to inspect the drum before purchasing a washer and on delivery. I have had clothes ruined by the front loading washer I own.

Hey, I've got really long arms and can't afford for the sleeves to shrink. I'm also not the leanest in the gut, so I don't want the shirt to be too tight around the stomach. What's the best way to wash it without shrinking in those areas?

But I get your point though. lol. Though a lot of car makers like Ford have gone a long way the last 4-5 years on improving their interiors.

I will never buy a front loading machine in my life, I washed my clothes in one a couple times. The clothes literally still smelled when I pulled them out of the drier. High efficiency? Not when you have to do every load twice.

BMWs quality has no better than your average Ford. Ask any mechanic that has to work on them. They handle better and have better interiors. The reason why the BMWs look they way they do is probably has more to do with the person who is owning. They are more than likely going to take care of their vehicle and perhaps hold on to it. You start getting into other car makers perhaps after the 2nd or 3rd owner not really taking care of it. And considering i have seen Ford cars with original paint etc that are over 20 years and run like brand new. It is because the owner took care of it. I guess it is a similar concept for shirts. The man that buys dress shirts and wears them all the time is more likely to take care of them than the person who buys 10 dollar tees. And truth be told, Used to be a tire tech,

I know you wrote this 1 year ago so probably won't read this comment. I think you make an insightful comment. Yes, the author of this video threw me off by comparing quality clothes to quality cars, like BMW's. Mechanics usually hate these luxury cars (unless that's all they do and make a lot of money off of it). I had a Mercedes, which is considered a quality car, and had to get the brakes changed within 1-2 years of owning it. And luxury cars now have all these unnecessary computer gadgets that breakdown. I think a better comparison would be to high ends bags like LV bags. My ex-wife treated hers like $h!@, because she doesn't take care of her things, and it still looked new after three years. Never washed it or did anything to it. Whatever it's made of seems to last.

Great Video, but as far as your analogy on Ford and BMW.... *Kia* is believe it or not, the Number 1 Brand in Initial Quality for the past 5 years. *They've made incredible leaps in the last 10 years, & once they lured Audi's VP away they've become one of the best brands you can buy! *Who would have ever thought that about Kia 15 -20 years ago?* Beating BMW. & btw sorry to say this since you said it's your brand, but Chevy is actually one of the worst brands manufactured today, and Horrible for reliability quality. But I still Love your Videos!

We have all sinned and fallen short of of Gods glory sin is terrible because of sin we are separated from God but gladly here is the good news Jesus Christ came and walked this earth for everyone taught us the perfect way to live and how we should live and he died for our sins because we need a sacrifice to pay the price for our sins since our sins deserve hell if we live in sin but also more good news Jesus rose from the dead three days later we have to leave the sin behind and put it away and live new with Jesus this world is like a vapor it passes away but your eternity is forever and it is up to you what you want to do with it…
