Love the video with the short cut on your Sisterlocks. The styles were cute!! I don't see many people with short Sisterlocks unless they are growing them. But this video shows that you have options. They don't have to be down your back to be cute!!😉😉😉😃😃

Thank you! This is a good process. I will be braiding and banding but I will follow this process once my locs are installed. I actually started installing braidlocs yesterday BUT I was not happy with the parting so I am taking them down and starting over. I will take the parting more slowly. I am going to be watching these videos several times so I can get all the tea!

For newbies, after you wash, how long do you keep the hair braided before you take it out? Right after? Mostly dry? Damp?

Yes, correct! Only in the baby/beginning stage you are to use clarifying shampoo only. No moisturizing shampoos or conditioners in the beginning. But once you are locd or mature (note: some people's locs can be mature even with open ends), free range. My ends were closed until I cut and colored my locs, which causes the ends to open. If I wanted my ends to close, then I would follow the process for new locs but I like my ends open so I don't just clarify. Hope this help! happy to do another video talking about the differences. And I'll also update my title of this video to include mature locs. So sorry for the confusion.

Great video. Lots of very useful information and I was pleased to see that you reference clarifying as well as moisturising shampoo and conditioner. Clarifying shampoo and rosewater alone don’t work for everyone. Some people need a little more. Your locs are lovely and I loved seeing the grid when you were braiding. I walk around with my love like this - I prefer my hair brushed away. The result was gorgeous.

Aww, thank you so much! Yeah, after my clients are passed the beginning phase of their loc journey, I always encourage a moisturizing or hydrating shampoo.

Depends on the condition or your locs. Give me more details and I'll be happy to help. Color? New locs? Mature locs? Dry? Brittle? Porosity?

Do you use Bobby pins when you do you Mohawk or are pinning the sides and back up? Also can you do a video on how to deal with relaxed ends? I have about 2 inches or so and plan to start cutting them at the beginning of the new year but any advise?

I'm getting my locs in 10/25/22. Like the wash day. I know I won't be able to wash for a while. But I need to know the name of shampoo, leave in conditioner, and oil you use.
@EnToiBeauty2 жыл бұрын
That's around the corner...how exciting! Once you get your locs, you will be able to wash...just use a clarifying shampoo (suave clarifying shampoo), no conditioner though. You can use a lightweight leave-in conditioner (entoibeauty.com/beauty-%26-wellness-shop/ols/products/sea-salt-tightening-loc-spray). Oils I use (entoibeauty.com/beauty-%26-wellness-shop/ols/products/hair-scalp-oils). You could also use a Sea Salt spray to encourage the locking process (entoibeauty.com/beauty-%26-wellness-shop/ols/products/hair-and-scalp-oils)

Hey! Thanks for this video Pauline. How long of at all did you braid and band after your cut?
@EnToiBeauty2 жыл бұрын
I didn't! I like the open ends (it gives me volume). I did get about 6 locs that unraveled all the way out but we just but them back and kept it moving.

@@EnToiBeauty I was just coming back to say I see you are here for the volume had to keep watching for that part. I found someone to give me layers and move all my heavy weight from the bottom. I’m gonna need to braid and band based off your video bcz I don’t want or need volume. Next up protective style you talk about bcz I’m that one that swears at night and work out daily. You’re such a blessing I ran to your channel to get info on washing after this cut thanks so much!

Great video!! Have you always conditioned your hair or just when you colored it?
@EnToiBeauty3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I started conditioning my hair on and off once I was locd. But I do it with every wash now since I colored my hair. It will be so dry and brittle if you have color and don't condition your locs.

I’ve had my Sisterlocks for three weeks and have to braid and band when I wash them. Should I unbraid and separate them immediately or leave them braided and banded until they air dry? Thanks for all of your great videos.👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Yes, let them air dry in the braided/banded state. Once completely dry, you can take them down and separate your locs at the root.

@illuminatedlight3332 жыл бұрын
Color is Okay…. If you decide to get color just make sure that you take care of the color area….for the colored area Find a leave in conditioner…. Be very careful of getting your locks wet while swimming in pools & saltwater this will weaken the locks & cause Breakage because the color is a chemical…I have seen this happen with a lot of my clients that decide to do color….using Hannah coloring is healthier for your hair its all natural…
