Do you know why professional window cleaners use microfibre pads and squeegees to clean their clients windows? Well, neither do - but I'm sure there;s a very good reason for it..
A long time ago I cleaned my windows using only vinegar and paper towels - but truth be told - it's really quite time consuming using the spray and wipe procedure - and more often than not, I would get frustrated with the streaky results...
There's got to be a better way..

As a professional window cleaner I can say the tool is okay, the method is okay too, but you really should towel the whole window. Also your mop only needs to be damp for inside windows and only a little more for outside so the window doesn't dry due to wind and sun.

awesome tips I'm a big fan and I actually clean for a living, I've used alot of your tips at work and home works wonders makes life so much easier. But I have a tip my mum also showed me for cleaning windows I thought I would share it with you. .but only if you have this in your home Avon bubble bath I use a bucket one capful of bubble bath and two microfiber clothes (one for wet & one for dry or a shami cloth works well too....I've even used newspaper or a squeegee. ..no streaks. ..

You mentioned in a previous video, that you like steam cleaner/cleaning. So why not use it to clean your windows? It also has a microfiber cloth and a squeegee attachment. I clean all my windows and glass doors and mirrors with steam. Does a great job :)

I do some window cleaning and car detailing and was recently surprised at how good the Norwex enviroclean cloth and glass cloth are at cleaning glass. My landlady is a house cleaner and she only uses Norwex cloths on glass...just dampen the enviroclean cloth to clean the glass and dry/buff with the glass cloth.... For large windows though you can't beat the window cleaner mop and squeegee. Tip for using the squeegee: You don't need to lean very hard on it...just enough pressure to keep it on the glass ;-)

Pre-treat with tea tree oil and water, or a product called Concrobium, and then scrub with a cleaning toothbrush, then rinse clean. I have a video on how to clean window sills. The reason this happens is because moisture is coming in through your windows and forming mold.

The pro I asked used dish soap. Also saw on the web to add a short squirt of Jet Dry. Amazon has lots of 'pro' gear that doesn't break, works well and fairly priced.

Hello, great channel! I've used at least a few tricks I've learned from here. This video's solution for indoor windows would probably work for the insides of car windows, especially with an extension handle. I wasted money on one of those stupid things that look like the face of an iron on the end of a plastic handle. Do you happen to know of anything else that might do the trick easier than what you explained in this video? Thanks for all your hard work!

Take the screen off and spray it down with the hose. Let it dry, then rehang.

Hi there, I moved into a 2nd story apartment, with very old windows (on the top 1/2 of the window it has 8 frames, and then the 2nd 1/2 is full frame) and there is unidentifiable paint (not sure what type of paint) that is stuck around all the framing (meaning I cant take off with a plastc puddy knife). What product do you recommend without compromising the glass?

This does work for outside windows. Another little hint is instead of going sideways if possible go vertical and certainly on for glass doors. Then on the inside go horizontal. That way you know where the mess is my real question is what gas station washes your windows.

Where I'm from (Europe) people make bucket of soapy water, apply the soap all over their windows with a sponge, then squeegee them clean & dry! Try adding up your paper towel costs, the total will surprise you (same goes for disposable dinnerware). More importantly, let's try to keep all that plastic out of the landfills! Your kids will thank you! :) Another great video, btw...

I have some customers who have them, and I actually found using a magic eraser really helps get rid of that scum at the bottom, then use a glass cleaner to make it all shiny. I wish I was on my business account. anyways this is Raoul with truly clear Windows. interesting video. you got several things wrong though. for anyone who wants to clean their own widows. I recommend you you learn the correct way of doing it, it will be less time consuming. and you wont have streaks. heres one tip you have more than one cloth a dirty one to wipe the bottem of the windows as those areas will have the most dirt, the second one is to do the detailing.

I have always thought it was me that left the streaks behind whenever I would clean my windows. Now I know I am not alone. Today I did my screen door and used a RainX product and realized when I got done that, uhhh, I did not have to wipe up and down inside and left to right outside! There are no streaks. I used RainX X-treme Clean and it has grit in it. Probably just baking soda. Now my screen door windows are so clear that I see scratches and one wear mark in them from years ago! (Not from the Rain-X.) I never saw them before using this in my six years of cleaning that door. I am all for using grit to clean my windows now.

I like the question about cleaning a home deep fryer. I have the same question!

UNPLUG and remove the grease, wipe out with a paper towel until it is as dry as possible. Use a concoction of baking soda, TINY amt of Dawn dish detergent and water to make a paste like thin pudding. Using a rag or sturdy paper towel, scrub out the fryer. You might have to thin the baking soda solution a bit more. Wipe out with a wet rag as best you can several times. You can pour water into the fryer to rinse if you don't have a liner, but be very careful and do not use or add oil until all the water is dried out and there's no residue left from the bak soda. You can clean most anything with baking soda and water plus a little detergent....very little.

Soap and water.... soap and scrub it up real good. once you know all the dirt specks are gone, THEN get the squeegy out. BTW, did ya'll notice that in her example of doing it, she left behind streaks and dirt? LOL!
