If you have very dry or frizzy hair try using the reverse-washing method! That means applying conditioner before using shampoo. Make sure to leave the conditioner in while rubbing in the shampoo so that you can rinse everything off at once. I've tried this twice so far and it worked really well for me! Also!! Not all shampoo gets sudsy when lathered. Some shampoos have additives that make them bubbly because people assume that if there are no bubbles, your hair won’t be clean. If you use shampoo that doesn’t get sudsy, it’s fine. It’s all personal preference. :)

@@futureceo8943 usually you can feel your hair is still oily when it’s wet in the shower, you’ll feel the residue on your fingers.. Your hair shouldn’t be leaving any sort of greasy feeling on your fingers when you lather, but I suppose it also shouldn’t feel completely stripped dry of oil... there’s probably some content out there that can explain it better than me, but look for a feeling in between I suppose? @@futureceo8943 you need to do it twice, sulfate free shampoo CAN make bubbles, it's just not as strong. just like when you wash your hands if they're oily, you need to soap twice to dislodge then remove the oil. if you shampoo, rinse, then shampoo again, you'll be surprised how much lather you get the second time with less product. then your hair will feel much cleaner.

You really are lucky for having that low porosity hair/ sealed cuticles. I have never used heat on my hair, not even warm water yet it's so frizzy because of the opened cuticles. Even acv, cold water, careful maintenance & all those silk scrunchies & pillowcases are not enough to tame my frizz. Oiling is not an option as I have dandruff/ seborrheic derm. I can never do a messy bun like you, my hair would start to break almost immediately & I have to be especially careful & gentle when my hair is wet because hairfall is a huge issue for me. Please keep loving your hair. You do not have to squeeze out the water seperately. A t shirt instead of towel drying will do better without stressing out the cuticles. Oh and if you are someone who washes hair everyday or frequently, use a clarifying shampoo maybe twice a week. Else just use a sulphate free hydrating shampoo.

Information to add: First, wet hair is super delicate so be very gentle with it, specially if you're going to brush it, have patience and be soft to it. Also, use lukewarm water to start, getting more on the cool side, finish with cool water, but never use too hot water because It's just going to damage and dry your hair (Can seem obvious for some but apparently many people don't know this). And to finish, never put the conditioner on your scalp, It's gonna clog the pores because it's not supposed to be applied there. Only from mids to ends. Also you have to wait at least 5 minutes for it to act into your hair (if it's more then awesome), so in that time you can advance with other stuff or do the scalp massage as the girl in the video, but always with your hands clear of product. Hope this is useful :)

They’re suuuper absorbant, they dry much faster, and I think they’re so much nicer looking. Don’t ever bend and press your hair to get rid of the water! That’s the recipe for broken hair ends. Press them from the scalp towards ends. Also don’t ever brush hair that wet. If you have straight hair you can brush them when they are completely dry. If you have wavy/curly hair, you’d rather brush them after you take the towel off your head, when the hair are still a little wet. Don’t keep the towel on your head for too long, 10 minutes is max, 5 minutes is enough. It’s better to use fast dry microfiber towel or old cotton t-shirt than frotte towel, because frotte towels are less soft and their structure may cause hair breaking.

A tip for dry, damaged hair: put some conditioner on the ends before shampooing. Shampoo tends to dry out the hair and conditioner beforehand prevents that. Also don't put any shampoo on the ends when they're damaged, they don't really need it, just the water and the shampoo running through it when rinsing is enough to clean the ends, since they don't collect much dirt anyways

try not to scrunch your hair when squeezing out water, it could cause damage. gently squeeze down your hair to put less stress on it. don't squeeze the water out after every shampoo (do so if you're going to condition so your hair could soak up more of the product) so you won't need to use as much shampoo. also if possible, you could apply coconut or avocado oil to the strands before washing (not the scalp) to help protect your hair from some of the harmful ingredients in the shampoo.

I used to have really really dry and brittle hair until I was like so much older but I figured out how to wash hair properly thru KZbin videos , Pinterest and just hair care hacks and tips , and my hair is better than ever , it’s not dry , not oily , it’s just in perfect healthy condition , I had tangled up curls and just bushy unhealthy hair , now my curls are not even there to begin with ,it’s just wavy and the curls I have are very delicate and soft , I didn’t brush my hair properly which was the reason of tangled up curls in my hair and it was SOOOO dry , now that I’m imagining them I’m like oh god 😢 but thanks to all these tips and hacks ❤ Some basic tips : apply olive oil before showering in your scalp and it the ends of your hair if you have split ends , use a shower cup and heat cap over it ( if not a heat cal , iron a washed tshirt , make it hot and wrap it around your shower cap) secure it for 1 hour and wash your hair , Use a tiny bit of shampoo , like the size of a like three two green peas , I know it’s disappointing to see no bubbles and foams but trust me lesser shampoo prettier and healthier hair , shampoo dries out your hair like CRAZYYY . Apply shampoo and rub it one time , wash it off and do the same thing for the second time as well , first time is just gonna clean the dirt on the surface , second time is gonna really get it your scalp and deep clean it and obviously shampo only the roots NOT your ends

First off, shampoo is for the scalp, conditioner is for the ends. Don't dry your hair with a proper towel. Use a microfibre towel. Rinsing off conditioner with cold water does not "close the cuticle." It's a myth. It's good for your hair but it doesn't seal anything. Rinse it off with whatever temperature of water you wish. It's also important to use the right products if you want your hair is good condition. Don't buy any shampoo with SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) in it. It dries out your hair. It's a cleaning agent that you get in dish soap and you wouldn't wash your hair wish dish soap. It's very harsh and your hair doesn't like it. Don't buy any conditioner with silicones in them. They create a barrier around your hair strands that makes your hair "feel" like it's nice and soft when it's actually not. It's just the silicone cased around the strand. You want the conditioner to actually penetrate the strands and make them soft and undamaged. Not an illusion. It also doesn't matter if the product lathers. It does nothing, it's just a placebo effect to make it seem like you're really getting it clean. Please also don't wash your hair every day if you can help it. It's why your hair gets greasy so fast. You are stuck in a cycle because when you wash your hair every day your scalp reproduces the natural oils faster. Train it to reproduce slower. Gradually ease out of it and ideally wash your hair every 4 days or even once a week.

So here's a long tip. If you're worried about too much product build up you can just dilute your shampoo in bowl with water. Like take about half a small bowl of water and a dime size or a bit more of shampoo and mix it. It's going to be watery but it washes off oil really well. Go with two washes. For the first time there won't be any bubbles cause of the oil and dirt but just because you don't see bubbles doesn't mean you go ahead and dump the whole bottle on your head. Scrub your scalp after applying shampoo on every area and wash it off. Don't rub your tips. Just don't. Let the watery shampoo from your head just run down them. They'll do the job. For the second wash, take the diluted shampoo and do the same process again. This time you'll get the bubbles even if you don't take a lot of shampoo cause the oil and dirt is gone. Again, don't rub your tips, just take the lather from your head and squeeze it through your length. Wash it off. For conditioning, I'd say go through it just like she showed in the video but don't comb your hair. You'll just break them. Comb it after they're dry.

Depends on your hair type and if you put a lot of product on your roots. :) If your hair oils up quickly, shampooing twice elongates the time between washes. It might mean your hair will look cleaner for a day longer. If your hair is frizzy, it might mean your shampooing too much and/or not using enough conditioner.

i shampoo twice with more than twice that amount of shampoo each time and that conditioner isnt NEARLY enough (i use abt 4 times that much) since my hair is a lot thicker, longer, curlier and frizzier 😂 and also you dont need to rub it on the ends for even a second (shampoo) unless u oiled ur hair or it got dirty somehow. also dont squeeze the conditioner, ur literally squeezing out any extra water along with the conditioner. and with such a small amount of conditioner, brushing it probably wouldn't be a great idea. i finger detangle BEFORE conditioning and use a very gentle brush if needed. and leaving conditioner for abt 3-5 minutes would be a good idea. wash ur face and body and listen to music while you wait or sth. also, if you still have conditioner on ur hands, DONT MASSAGE IT INTO UR HEAD!! thats just callingggg for oily hair. avoid putting conditioner above ur mids cos it also calls for oily hair since the oils on ur scalp give enough moisture so using conditioner would overdo it. but there is an exception for maybe your fringe and face framing pieces. also an exception if you KNOW you need conditioner above your mids maybe if your hair is hella damaged or if you have really curly hair from the root. but you have to remember that everyones hair is different! if others do something you know wont work for you just dont do it!
