Hi, with the latest upgrade iOS 16.1.1 on my iPhone. The Apple lightning to digital A/V adapter it no longer appears to be working. I can start movie on iPhone. It starts to display on TV with Message the movie playing on TV and circle just continues running. Is there a fix? I can look at pictures and KZbin without any issue.

I don't think the Apple Lightning AV Adapter would work with Android. Some viewers have reported using something called "red cord" works, but others say it doesn't work. These videos are only about the genuine Apple product.

Not working here. iPhone SE2 with a lighting adapter , just like how you set up. With netflix, the TV has subtitles and sound but just no video image. It's all in black. I think it might be due to my TV (HUAWEI TV) or netflix has some protection for this method.

Yeah, I hear you. If I see something that allows people to "background" a show, I'll let you know. I personally have turned on "Do Not Disturb" so e-mails and messages don't come through when I'm watching (and it also stops the screen from stuttering/freezing.)

Just purchased the apple lightning hdmi adapter, new hdmi cable that works very well with my Xbox one and we continue to get a code avf:11800;OS:12035. KZbin works great! Netflix won’t even try to play. Has the screen like it wants to play and shortly after selecting the video we want to play we get that error code.

After about two minutes of watching something on Netflix, my iPhone (an older model) will show the lock screen, but the middle will show that you are playing something from Netflix. When I've pressed the home or side button to engage the lock screen, it pauses the show and causes connectivity problems.

Sound problems are usually related the device (iPhone/iPad) or your t.v.

Many lighting adapters say don’t support Netflix, Hulu, and many more. They want you to by their Apple TV.

As of now (August 2021), the *Apple* Lightning AV Adapter works with the platforms I've tested (Netflix and Disney+), as long as you're using Wi-Fi. You can use an HDMI splitter, too, if you're watching downloaded content.

Sorry to hear that! The HDMI port can be tricky, but as long as your TV has an HDMI port, it's possible to plug it in; keep trying!

Why didn’t you show the movie ACTUALLY Playing… the cheap ones do this but when you press play it doesn’t actually start it just stays on the load screen. Your video was supposed to show the actually Netflix playing something. Instead it was more of a how to get Netflix account not a Does the AV plug do what we want.

I normally wouldn't respond to a comment like this, but it seems I have to explain a few more things: 1. I go into the sign-in and download process, because streaming Netflix or Disney+ from a browser can cause the "sound, but no video" problem. So I was making it clear that people need to use the Netflix app. In other words, I was trying to be helpful. 2. Not everyone is tech savvy and/or speaks English. Also, it never hurts to be thorough. 3. Here's some unsolicited advice: try not to assume things about people's motives. Thanks for the comment, though.
