Hi Kevin. Can you confirm if playing downloaded Amazon prime content still works for you? We’ve bought this adaptor and streaming apps won’t display content. I assume they’ve crippled it on purpose. Can you confirm?

Hello. Yes I’m able to transfer video from my iPhone to tv. I’m assuming you have the apple product? Not a knock off version. Be sure to have all correct connections. Make sure your Bluetooth is off on your phone. Follow the steps again in video. Hope that helps. Cheers

I found this video since I read that the Apple Lightning adapter uses HDCP copy protection. I want to download Netflix to my iPhone, then play on my RV TV using HDMI. Does using this connector with the USB somehow bypass the HDCP? I noticed that he stopped the Netflix quickly, was he stopping before the copy protection kicked in? There was no mention of HDCP that I heard.

Hello. There shouldn’t be any problem playing downloaded vids off your iPhone or iPad. Nor streaming youtube. All the Apple lightning adapter does is transfer information by usb directly to the TV from your gadgets.

If you have already downloaded videos/movies from your App store to phone yes it would work. If your just streaming you would need wifi or data connection. Hope that helps. Cheers

@@KruisinKevin thank you for such a fast reply. Just to clarify, I would have to download the video on my iPhone connect the iPhone to tv and I’ll be able to watch. Yes? I was also thinking of getting a projector but I noticed Netflix is not able to be played via projector from my phone because of restrictions. But if it’s downloaded first??

Ever since the new ios16 update. I lost the ability to mirror “Amazon prime” and half the time HBO go and Netflix wont stream. I literally have to restart everything unplug everything and exiting and opening up the HBO or Netflix app a couple hundred times for it to stream properly. Honestly, if I was not allowed to stream, Disney+ KZbin, or HBO. I would return the adapter back and get the money from Apple, but cents have the streaming apps I use work I still use it, but in the future, if those streaming services do not support the adapter, I will be returning the dongle.

my Spectrum TV app will not play anymore with this dongle,spectrum says they updated the app with a copyright infringement update,terrible.

I think they fixed the bug with the iOS 16.3 update and I’m hoping it works with the 16.6 update and won’t have the same issue again with iOS 17 update.

I thought usb was to charge the phone. I’ve never connected usb to tv only hdmi

If you connect the usb it will charge your phone while watching tv,otherwise the phones battery will drain very fast

@@g.stamatis Could be a few things. Make sure your Netflix app is on wifi If streaming. Aswell updated. Make sure Bluetooth is off. Make sure The HDMI is in the correct port as well selected on your TV. The age of a TV could be an issue.? Try and reboot iPhone. Or you can replace/Exchange for a new AV adapter. Hope that helps
