Goldeneagle59 Ireland doesn't have detailed film breakdown of American football? Shocker. You're 100% right, though. If there's anything better out there, I haven't found it. Brett, you must have been an Edge NFL Matchup junky. In all seriousness, you're much better than they were. You need your own show, with support on the search and find. And to do that, you need people you trust to watch the film. And to do that, you need to make time to train proteges. This is awesome. Think bigger.

Brett does a lot of different subjects here so I don't know how fast he'll get to another CB vs WR film study but there are channel dedicated to that concept. Highlight Castle is a channel that displays them but doesn't break it down. I usually try to breakdown situations myself by watching that channel. Mark Parson's channel is a good resource to get better at breaking down film yourself. He's all about CB vs WR. If you are interested in college players near draft time, especially linemen, then you have to watch Voch Lombardi. I've learned a LOT more about how linemen try to do things from him. He has much more of a coaching feel than Brett's analyst feel.

An underrated part of this coverage shows the Bills were very prepared for this concept. Look at #21 Jordan Poyer I believe. Notice the second he sees the TE isn’t leaking to the flat, he high tails it back as if that over route is passed to him. Given he has the speed to get back, I feel like that’s what Hyde knew and saw. I think he’s looking at Poyer and knows he can get back should it actually be a deep over route. Notice Hyde sees Poyer running back, and THEN high tails it to cover the post. Poyer is even looking at the receiver almost expecting him to come on the over route. Am I crazy? I think that’s what happens here

Just wanted to say this is the best football content I've ever consumed outside of being live at a game, only because of the raw energy. If I could choose your analysis or the super bowl, I'd rather watch your video. It's the only thing close to me being able to actually appreciate the depth, athleticism, speed, strategy, and minute detail of football. If I could watch live games on tv with this level of depth and appreciation, I'd watch it more than any other sport. People like you help give sports a better reputation, and help people understand just how hard it is. These people aren't brutes tossing around a ball and hitting each other. They truly are professionals, just as you are in terms of video crafting. Your ability to break down these complex concepts coaches will craft for entire offseasons into a few minutes worth of adobe edited KZbin film footage and make the viewer understand is unparalleled. It's also damn entertaining. You're a skilled teacher and talented content creator. Keep up the hard work. I for one couldn't be happier you're finding success.

And this is why anyone who gives a damn ignores the melodramatic teenage soap operas that ESPN/NFL channels have become. THIS here is what people want. They want to see the tape, to learn from it, and find a way to enjoy the game a little bit more. Fans have STARVED for this for years, only to be shutdown when the NFL slaps a channel with a copyright claim or what not. So thanks Brett, you deserve this.

It's all about the nuance, and that's why I love watching your videos, because it points out the stuff that gets lost in the game highlight reels - the plays that could have been explosive that never went anywhere, or the ones that tipped off a series of events that changed the game. The subtleties, the ticks, the body language - you covered it all here in less than 10 minutes all on one play. It's brilliant stuff. That's what's going to draw a lot of fans in. Congrats on the 100,000 milestone!

As the high Safety in Cover 3 Hyde knows he’s got to protect the Seams. The Over route presents itself yes, but the high Safety’s job is... Seams. There is a Wr running up the (left) Seam. Hyde, understanding the coverage weaknesses, can see the skinny Post develop and understand the left Seam is under threat. Unless the backside Wr runs up the (right) Seam, Hyde has one job: protect the Seam. The Over is the job of the (left) Corner as he’s free and his zone is about to be threatened; the cutback then puts the responsibility back on the (right) Corner as it’s now back in his outside third zone. In conclusion, Hyde anticipated Ryan threatening his coverage weakness, Ryan didn’t anticipate Hyde anticipating his move. I understand this from the guidance of a former Div I Cornerback.

Yeah Brett your channel is awesome man. Seriously if NFL teams were smart they would start looking at your stuff to help them. Your breakdowns would be better than a lot of the coaching staffs in the league--for sure.

Watching the analysis of this one play made me subscribe. Great work! I really admire the ability to do this kind of deep dive into one of the most tactically complex sports.
